The compositions comprise a compound having a pharmacological selectivity of serotonin (Ki)/norepinephrine (Ki) of at least about 5000. Examples of such compounds include reboxetine, and more preferably optically pure (S,S) enantiomer of reboxetine. The methods generally include administration of a therapeutic amount of such compositions. Also disclosed are preparations of a medicament from the composition, and uses of the composition in a manufacture of the medicament to treat a human suffering from, or preventing a human from suffering, a physiological or psychiatric disease, disorder, or condition.

After the particular level is met, the method includes providing a respective rising ramp control signal to each respective control pin of the pulse width modulator controller such that each respective power converter generates desired voltage level over time characteristics.

Abstract: A knife system including a mechanism for automatically advancing a cutting blade. The knife system includes a click mechanism that a user is capable of selectively actuating. Each actuation of the click mechanism causes the cutting blade to become either exposed or unexposed. The knife system also includes a break off mechanism that aids a user in removing individual blade segments from the cutting blade.

Abstract: A suspension of particles is rapidly self-assembled with a minimal number of defects into a three-dimensional array of particles onto a substrate under simultaneous sedimentating and annealing forces. This array of particles may be ordered as an opal structure. Optionally, the synthesized structure may incorporate an electrolyte into the suspension and be used as a sacrificial form for micromoulding an inverse structure. The inverse structure may exhibit a photonic band gap. Optionally, necking and material composition may be adjusted after micromoulding. These structures are useful to a wide variety of applications. The photonic band gap structure may be heated to function as a light source. The light source may be fitted into standard sockets.

The integrated jack unit also includes a power controller positioned in the housing and coupled to the jack by a line. The line is designated for coupling with a transformer. The integrated jack unit also includes a pin protruding outwardly from the housing. The pin is electrically coupled to the jack through the power controller and the line. The pin is positioned to receive power for the jack from a printed circuit board.

Abstract: A system is provided for distributing one or more packets of information such as redeemable coupons, forms, messages, tickets, warnings and written packets to potential recipients of said packets from a receiver at a remote location. The steps included in such a system are: (1) developing a receiver directory containing unique identification information for each of said potential receivers; (2) creating a packet to be dispatched to at least one of said receiver; (3) identifying the potential receivers for a particular packet; (4) transmitting said packet through a network to all of said potential receivers; (5) receiving, storing and selectively processing only those packets intended to be processed and printed by said receiver; and (6) displaying said packet. A variety of audio and visual display components and motion sensors may also be provided to enhance the appeal of the receivers.

The spatial management system transmits the map data to the program management system. The program management system transmits the map data to the user system and, in return, receives an indication of a site location where the operation is to be performed. The program management system transmits the site location indication to the spatial management system. The spatial management system geocodes the site location indication and transmits the site location geocode to the program management system.

Abstract: A system for quickly and reliably detecting a failed structure includes a signal source, a cable attached to the structure, an anti-slip cable anchor, a signal detector, and user indicator. When the structure fails, the cable attached to the structure is also broken. The user indicator is operable to display the status of the cable. The cable breaks due to exceeding the elastic modulus of the cable, caused by elongation of the distance between two fixed points caused by the failing structure. Electric power must be provided to each signal source, signal detector and user indicator.
