  • Patent number: 11507516
Abstract: Described apparatuses and methods partition a cache memory based, at least in part, on a metric indicative of prefetch performance. The amount of cache memory allocated for metadata related to prefetch operations versus cache storage can be adjusted based on operating conditions. Thus, the cache memory can be partitioned into a first portion allocated for metadata pertaining to an address space (prefetch metadata) and a second portion allocated for data associated with the address space (cache data). The amount of cache memory allocated to the first portion can be increased under workloads that are suitable for prefetching and decreased otherwise. The first portion may include one or more cache units, cache lines, cache ways, cache sets, or other resources of the cache memory.

  • Patent number: 11509011
Abstract: A miniature electrochemical cell having a volume of less than 0.5 cc is described. The cell casing comprises an open-ended ceramic container having a via hole providing an electrically conductive pathway extending through the container. A metal lid closes the open-end of the container. An electrode assembly housed inside the casing comprises an anode current collector deposited on an inner surface of the ceramic container in contact with the electrically conductive pathway in the via hole. An anode active material contacts the current collector and a cathode active material contacts the metal lid. A separator is disposed between the anode and cathode active materials. That way, the electrically conductive pathway serves as a negative terminal, and the lid, electrically isolated from the conductive pathway by the ceramic container, serves as a positive terminal. The negative and positive terminals are configured for electrical connection to a load.

  • Patent number: 11505222
Abstract: A rail system includes a main track, a spur track connected to the main track by a switch changeable between a closed state and an open state, and a station spaced from the main track and accessible by the spur track. The rail system further includes a train with a passenger car and an EMDI releasably coupleable behind the passenger car. A method of operating the rail system includes decoupling the EMDI from the passenger car when the train is moving at a first speed toward the switch in the closed state. The EMDI is decelerated to a second speed less than the first speed. After the train has moved past the switch and the switch has been changed to the open state, the EMDI is diverted from the main track to the spur track via the switch in the open state and decelerated to a stop at the station.

  • Patent number: 11507125
Abstract: A controllable temperature coefficient bias (CTCB) circuit is disclosed. The CTCB circuit can provide a bias to an amplifier. The CTCB circuit includes a variable with temperature (VWT) circuit having a reference circuit and a control circuit. The control circuit has a control output, a first current control element and a second current control element. Each current control element has a “controllable” resistance. One of the two current control elements may have a relatively high temperature coefficient and another a relatively low temperature coefficient. A controllable resistance of one of the current control elements increases when the controllable resistance of the other current control element decreases. However, the “total resistance” of the current control circuit remains constant with a constant temperature. The VWT circuit has an output with a temperature coefficient that is determined by the relative amount of current that flows through each current control element of the control circuit.

  • Patent number: 11508169
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide a system for generating synthetic images with localized editing. During operation, the system obtains a source image and a target image for image synthesis and selects a semantic element from the source image. The semantic element indicates a semantically meaningful part of an object depicted in the source image. The system then determines the style information associated with the source and target images. Subsequently, the system generates a synthetic image by transferring the style of the semantic element from the source image to the target image based on the feature representations. In this way, the system can facilitate localized editing of the target image.
