  • Publication number: 20200325006
Abstract: A jib crane assembly having a vertical pole and a boom for lifting a load. The pole has a length and cylindrical outer surface. A pivot structure is arranged at an upper segment of the pole such that the boom is rotatably secured at a pivot point, thereby dividing the boom into first and second portions. A compression support extends from the first portion of the boom to a compression roller engagement assembly, and a tension roller engagement assembly is secured to the second portion of the boom, opposite the compression roller assembly. The tension roller assembly is attached to a tension frame, wherein said compression support, compression roller assembly, tension frame, and second portion of the boom provide structural support and counter-balance when lifting the load, and the pivot structure and roller assemblies facilitate rotation of the load around the pole.

  • Publication number: 20200324814
Abstract: A position identification assembly for a steering column is provided. The assembly may include a mount bracket, a steering column, a sensor, and a controller. The mount bracket may define an opening to the cavity. The steering column may be mounted to the mount bracket for translation at least partially in to and out of the cavity and the steering column may define one or more physical features therealong. The sensor may be secured to the mount bracket to detect the physical features. Each of the one or more physical features may be arranged upon the steering column such that the sensor detects the one or more physical features when the steering column translates between positions and may send a signal to the controller reflecting the same. The controller is programmed to identify a steering column position based on the received signal.

  • Publication number: 20200324441
Abstract: A method of forming a molding tool includes performing a computer aided engineering (CAE) analysis on a molding tool design. The CAE analysis predicts flow of injection molded material and a location of gas entrapment within a molding recess of the molding tool design. At least one venting design constraint is applied to the molding tool design as a function of the gas entrapment location. Also, a biomimetic shaped passageway for venting gas away from the gas entrapment location is selected from a plurality of biomimetic shaped passageways. A computational fluid dynamic (CFD) CAE analysis of the molding tool design with the selected biomimetic shaped passageway is performed and modifications of the selected biomimetic shaped passageway are CFD CAE analyzed until a final biomimetic shaped passageway is determined and a molding tool with the final biomimetic shaped passageway is formed.

  • Publication number: 20200328804
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to achieve dynamic bandwidth allocation among terminal groups (TGs) with proportional fairness in terms of both throughput and spectrum usage across a network. Quality of service (QoS) metrics for such TGs can be satisfied in terms of maximum throughput and spectrum utilization, while also satisfying QoS metrics such as latency, throughput, and prioritized traffic services for individual terminals within the TGs. A centralized bandwidth manager can be utilized to manage such dynamic bandwidth allocation across multiple Code Rate Organizers (CROs), including environments in which the multiple CROs manage communications across multiple IPGWs for multiple terminal groups. Because, in such environments, a given conventional CRO cannot effectively manage allocations across the entire network, the centralized bandwidth management functionality can be introduced to assess the flows for multiple TGs across multiple CROs and to make bandwidth allocations accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20200326097
Abstract: An air tight sealing cuff for a blast gate includes a pair of flat plates disposed on opposite sides of the slide mounting of the gate, and replaceable spring clips for holding the plates in position. Resilient gasket material applied to the plates forms a substantially air-tight seal between the slider and slide mount of the cuff and the exterior of the cuff. As a consequence, there is eliminated inadvertent leakage from the area around the gate slider, which would otherwise represent wasted energy. Improved efficiency and reduced carbon footprint result.

Abstract: A paper product having improved printing characteristics and a method of making the paper product. This paper product has a fibrous substrate and top layer of surface enhanced pulp fibers that is integrally coupled to the top surface of the fibrous substrate. The paper product is produced by providing an aqueous slurry formed from a blend of cellulosic fibers and water and at least partially dewatering the aqueous slurry of cellulosic fibers and water to form the fibrous substrate. Subsequently, a surface treatment formed from an aqueous composition of water and surface enhanced pulp fibers is applied to the top surface of the fibrous substrate and thereafter the treated fibrous substrate is dried to form a paper product having enhanced printing characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20200327047
Abstract: An automated video game testing framework and method includes communicatively coupling an application programming interface (API) to an agent in a video game, where the video game includes a plurality of in-game objects that are native to the video game. The agent is managed as an in-game object of the video game. A test script is executed to control the agent, via the API, to induce gameplay and interrogate one or more target objects selected from the plurality of in-game objects native to the video game. Video game data indicating a behavior of the one or more target objects during the gameplay is received. Based on the received video game data, performance of the video game is evaluated.

  • Publication number: 20200324650
Abstract: Revving an engine may be helpful in various contexts, such as when servicing the vehicle. For example, in some types of services, a cleaning agent may be introduced into the intake and surrounding regions of an engine, and the engine may be revved to reduce a likelihood that the cleaning agent might puddle. In some instances, a device can be positioned within a vehicle interior and can be used to automatically rev the vehicle engine by depressing on the vehicle throttle. In other examples, an engine revving device may send a signal to an electronic-controlled throttle actuator.
