  • Publication number: 20200328805
Abstract: Forms of a modern interruptible foldback system are disclosed. In one form, the system comprises an audio interface that converts output from a director's mic and one or more analog audio streams to digital data for digital processing and mixing by a director application on a director computing device. Output from the director application of the director computing device is one or more mixed streams of digital audio data for transfer via a data transfer network to one or more talent computing devices running a talent application. The mixed audio is then fed by wired or wireless transfer to an in-ear or external speaker for a specified talent. The system's director app and talent app provide discreet 2 way communication between director and talent during a live broadcast. In alternative embodiments, analog audio streams are premixed before conversion to digital and distributed.

  • Publication number: 20200327121
Abstract: Systems and methods of voice activated thread management in a voice activated data packet based environment are provided. A natural language processor (“NLP”) component can receive and parse data packets comprising a first input audio signal to identify a first request and a first trigger keyword. A direct action application programming interface (“API”) can generate a first action data structure with a parameter defining a first action. The NLP component can receive and parse a second input audio signal to identify a second request and a second trigger keyword, and can generate a second action data structure with a parameter defining a second action. A pooling component can generate the first and second action data structures into a pooled data structure, and can transmit the pooled data structure to a service provider computing device to cause it device to perform an operation defined by the pooled data structure.

  • Publication number: 20200327138
Abstract: A computer-implemented system or process is programmed or configured to use a configuration file to specify one or more tasks to apply to raw ingested data. A task may be a sequence of instructions programmed or configured to format raw ingested data into a dataset in a CSV format. Examples of tasks may include: a parser to parse Cobol data into a CSV, a parser to parse XML into a CSV, a parser to parse text using fixed-width fields to a CSV, a parser to parse files in a zip archive into a CSV, a regular expression search/replace function, or formatting logic to remove lines or blank lines from raw ingested data. In one embodiment, the configuration file may specify a schema definition for a task to use for generating a dataset. In one embodiment, the configuration file may also include one or more access control list (ACL) definitions for the generated dataset. In one embodiment, the building of datasets using the configuration file is automated, for example, on a nightly basis.

  • Publication number: 20200329003
Abstract: Systems and methods for regulating electronic messages transmissions. A message delay system is disposed between one or more first entities and a second entity within at least one network. Electronic messages are received from among at least one the first entities and the second entity at one or more message arrival times. A message delay component applies a delay to each received electronic message, based on a predefined delay time common to all of the first entities and a first entity delay offset associated with a first entity that is associated with the received message. The first entity delay offset is based on a geographical origin of the first entity relative to a geographical origin of the second entity. Each delayed message is transmitted to a designated recipient via the network, where the designated recipient is among the second entity and the first entities.

  • Publication number: 20200329515
Abstract: A method and a device proxy for handling radio communication of content data from a data source to be played out on a media player of a wireless device in a wireless network. When detecting that a potential data class is available, the device proxy fetches segments of the content data from the data source over a potential data bearer dedicated for data of said potential data class. The potential data bearer is dedicated for data of the potential data class, which is less sensitive to delay than data of other data classes. The potential data bearer is also less costly to use compared to other data bearer(s). The fetched segments of content data are stored by the device proxy in an intermediate buffer, and the segments of content data are delivered from the intermediate buffer when requested by the media player.

  • Publication number: 20200327009
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein leverage dependence relationships between sensor readings to facilitate rapid detection of erroneous sensor readings and rapid response times when accurate sensor readings indicate events that call for remedial action. When a target sensor reports a questionable sensor reading, systems described herein can query additional sensors whose readings share expected dependence relationships with readings from the target sensor. Systems described herein determine whether the questionable sensor reading is trustworthy based on the expected dependence relationships and additional sensor readings received from the additional sensors. If the questionable sensor reading is trustworthy, the system can trigger appropriate remedial action and increase query rates for the additional sensors (and the target sensor) to monitor an underlying event more closely. If the questionable reading is not trustworthy, the system can trigger appropriate remedial action (e.g.
