Abstract: A system includes persistent storage configured to store, a mapping of computing resources provided by a remote computing system to a managed network. The system also includes an application that obtains instructions to modify a computing resource provided by the remote computing system and, based on the instructions, generates and transmits, to the remote computing system, a request to modify the computing resource. The application receives, from the remote computing system, a response indicating a modification to the computing resource and selects a discovery pattern configured to verify the modification by obtaining attributes associated therewith. The application obtains, from the remote computing system, the attributes by executing the discovery pattern and determines, based on the attributes, that the modification has been completed according to the instructions.

  • Publication number: 20200326377
Abstract: Methods are provided for generating an estimated number of workflow cycles able to be executed with a remaining battery capacity of a battery in a device. A workflow cycle comprising a predefined series of tasks of a work application executed during a defined timeframe is defined. Beginning battery capacity is determined at start of work application execution. End battery capacity at completion of work application execution is determined. Battery usage estimate associated with work application is calculated from difference between beginning battery capacity and end battery capacity. The estimated number of workflow cycles able to be executed is based on the remaining battery capacity and the battery usage estimate.

  • Publication number: 20200327057
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices that support variable modulation schemes for memory are described. A device may switch between different modulation schemes for communication based on one or more operating parameters associated with the device or a component of the device. The modulation schemes may involve amplitude modulation in which different levels of a signal represent different data values. For instance, the device may use a first modulation scheme that represents data using two levels and a second modulation scheme that represents data using four levels. In one example, the device may switch from the first modulation scheme to the second modulation scheme when bandwidth demand is high, and the device may switch from the second modulation scheme to the first modulation scheme when power conservation is in demand. The device may also, based on the operating parameter, change the frequency of the signal pulses communicated using the modulation schemes.

Abstract: Particular embodiments described herein provide for an electronic device that includes a display and is configured enabling a low power refresh during a semi-active workload. The electronic device includes a display engine, where the display engine generates a video stream with a frame rate, a display, where the display includes an image viewable by a user and the image is refreshed at a first refresh rate, and a timing controller located in the display, where the timing control receives an indicator from the display engine and uses the indicator to determine that the first refresh rate can be lowered to a second refresh rate without the frame rate of the video stream from the display engine being changed. In an example, the indicator is frame with no image data at the start of the frame. In another example, the indicator is an implicit indictor sent by the display engine.

  • Publication number: 20200327335
Abstract: Multiple cameras capture videos within a secure room. When individuals are detected as entering the room, identities of the individuals are resolved. When an asset is exposed in a field of view of one of the cameras, the individuals' eye and head movements are tracked from the videos with respect to one another and the asset. Additionally, touches made by any of the individuals on the asset are tracked from the videos. The eye and head movements are correlated with the touches or lack of touches according to a security policy for the asset. Any violations of the security policy are written to a secure audit log for the room and the asset.

  • Publication number: 20200324095
Abstract: Components with relatively high loading of active pharmaceutical ingredients are generally provided. In some embodiments, the component (e.g., a tissue interfacing component) comprises a solid therapeutic agent and a supporting material such that the solid therapeutic agent is present in the component in an amount of greater than or equal to 10 wt % versus the total weight of the tissue interfacing component. Such tissue-interfacing components may be useful for delivery of API doses e.g., to a subject. Advantageously, in some embodiments, the reduction of volume required to deliver the required API dose as compared to a liquid formulation permits the creation of solid needle delivery systems for a wide variety of drugs in a variety of places/tissues (e.g., tongue, GI mucosal tissue, skin) and/or reduces and/or eliminates the application of an external force in order to inject a drug solution through the small opening in the needle.

  • Publication number: 20200327434
Abstract: Effective management of cloud computing service levels (e.g. availability, performance, security) and financial risk is dependent on the cloud service provider's (CSP's) capability and trustworthiness. The invention applies industry cloud service level agreements (SLAs) with statistical and machine learning models for assessing CSPs and cloud services, and predicting performance and compliance against service levels. Cloud SLAs (ISO/IEC, EC, ENISA), cloud security requirements and compliance (CSA CCM, CAIQ), along with CSP performance (SLAs, cloud services) are analyzed via Graph Theory analysis and MCDA AHP to calculate CSP trustworthiness levels. CSP trustworthiness levels are input with CSP SLA content, cloud service performance measurements and configuration parameters into machine learning Regression analysis models to predict CSP cloud service performance and cloud SLA compliance, and enable model analysis and comparison.
