  • Patent number: 11112805
Abstract: A vehicle control system includes a controller that detects a communication loss between a first vehicle and a second vehicle and/or a monitoring device in a vehicle system. The controller operationally restricts movement of the vehicle system based on the communication loss. The controller obtains or generates a transitional plan that designates operational settings for the first vehicle and/or the second vehicle based at least in part on a location of the first vehicle and/or the second vehicle. The controller selectively changes movement of the first vehicle and/or the second vehicle via the transitional plan to reduce a speed of the first vehicle and/or the second vehicle responsive to the communication loss being detected.

  • Publication number: 20210268220
Abstract: Aspects of the present technology comprise a positioning and stabilising structure to hold a seal-forming structure in a therapeutically effective position on a head of a patient. The seal-forming structure may be constructed and arranged to form a seal with a region of the patient's face surrounding an entrance to the patient's airways for sealed delivery of a flow of air at a therapeutic pressure of at least 4 cmH2O with respect to ambient air pressure throughout the patient's respiratory cycle in use. The positioning and stabilising structure may comprise at least one gas delivery tube to deliver the flow of air to the entrance of a patient's airways via the seal-forming structure. The positioning and stabilising structure may comprise an adjustment mechanism for adjustment of a length of the at least one gas delivery tube to enable the positioning and stabilising structure to fit different size heads.

  • Publication number: 20210271992
Abstract: Examples of the disclosure are directed toward generating a causation score with respect to an agent and an outcome, and projecting a future causation score distribution. For example, a causation score may be determined with respect to a hypothesis that a given agent causes a given outcome, and the score may indicate the acceptance of that hypothesis in the scientific community, as described by scientific literature. A future causation score distribution, then, may indicate a probability distribution over possible future causation scores, thereby predicting the scientific acceptance of the hypothesis at some specific date in the future. A future causation score distribution can be projected by first generating one or more future publication datasets, and then determining causation scores for each of the one or more future publication datasets.

  • Publication number: 20210272352
Abstract: A system and method for content creation via interactive layers is provided. Parameters for an artifact are received. A mutable general object on which to build the artifact is maintained and includes a plurality of n-dimensional data units. Layers of data for the artifact are generated via different generators. Each layer of the artifact represents a set of characteristics based on arrangements of the data units. Each layer is generated by obtaining data about an arrangement of the data units for that layer, from one or more layers of the artifact prior to that data layer, and creating the layer to mutate the data units based on the data from one or more prior data layers and the received parameters. The artifact is formed by stacking the layers via the mutable general object. Each data layer is stored with the generator for that layer as a string of characters.

  • Publication number: 20210257713
Abstract: A wireless parking meter with an improved antenna location is described. The antenna may be located within a covering protruding from the top of the parking meter, allowing radio frequency (RF) signals to be transmitted through a portion of the parking meter with high permittivity to the RF signals. Additionally or alternatively, the antenna may be located within the parking meter housing above a lower parking meter mechanism housing so that RF signals can be transmitted through the dome covering of the parking meter, which may have a high permittivity to the RF signals.

  • Patent number: 11025584
Abstract: A method for improving client subnet efficiency by equivalence class aggregation includes receiving a Domain Name System (DNS) query from a client, determining, based on predetermined class criteria, that the client is associated with an equivalency class, searching a cache associated with the equivalence class for an answer corresponding to the DNS query, and upon locating the answer, serving the answer to the client. Membership in equivalence classes can be adjusted, tuned, or otherwise modified based upon one or more criteria or rules. The adjustment of memberships may be a necessary step in response to changing network conditions. A membership in one or more equivalence classes can be adjusted based on determining changes in service (such as changes in bandwidth, quality of service, client location, and so forth), and/or based on detection of a modification to the network topology, and/or based on received input concerning performance.
