  • Publication number: 20180367542
Abstract: A multi-factored authentication system is provided to identify users. Accordingly, the authentication system may utilize a combination of multiple authentication methods to identify and authenticate a user, such as facial recognition, voice recognition, fingerprint/retinal recognition, detection of cards/chips or smartphones located with the user, PINs, passwords, cryptographic keys, tokens, and the like. The various authentication methods may be used to calculate a confidence value for the authentication system, where the confidence value reflects the degree of certainty of the user's identity. Each authentication method may, upon identifying a positive match for a user, increase the confidence value by a certain degree.

  • Patent number: 10100707
Abstract: An active grille shutter for regulating airflow towards a vehicle heat exchanger. A frame adjacent the heat exchanger has a first mount with bores, a second mount, and an opening between the mounts to allow air to pass through. An end cap secures to the second mount and has bores. Vanes extend across the opening between opposing ends with a receiver at each end. Bearings are provided with couplers extending into and attached to the receivers, and a shafts extending into the bores. A linkage interconnects the bearings at one of the ends such that the vanes rotate concurrently. An actuator attached to the frame adjacent the first mount is coupled to one of the end cap bearings and rotation imparts rotation to the vanes by the linkage to concurrently rotate the vanes within the opening to regulate airflow through the opening towards the heat exchanger.

  • Patent number: 10015795
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to, in general, mobile device translation into a secure channel identifier for resource management. Typically, a system configured to establish a network activity channel with a networked device is provided. In some embodiments, based on analyzing a trigger signal, the system is configured to identify a network activity initiated by the user. In some embodiments, the system identifies a network activity channel configured for performing the network activity initiated by the user, based on at least determining a channel latency of the network activity channel. The system may then present the network activity channel to the user, configure the network activity channel such that the mobile device associated with the user is a secure channel identifier for performing the network activity; and modify, dynamically, a channel interface associated with the network activity channel based on the identified network activity and the trigger signal.

  • Patent number: 9782107
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate generally to aligning a patient with a target position of a magnetic resonance imaging system. For example, a computer may receive an input identifying a set of coordinates to be aligned with a target position of the magnetic resonance imaging system. The coordinates may correspond to a position of an anatomical feature of a patient within the magnetic resonance imaging system. The computer may also calculate a first travel distance and a second travel distance. Each of the first and second travel distances may be a distance along first and second axes, respectively, along which a patient handling system of the magnetic resonance imaging system is capable of moving. The computer may further reposition the patient handling system according to both the first travel distance and the second travel distance such that the anatomical feature is aligned with the target position.
