Abstract: According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a method is disclosed for a SIPIMR node to withdraw from a SIP session set-up loop by replying a redirect message to the SIP Invite sending node. The redirect message contains information for setting up alternative SIP session, said information being available in the SIP Invite receiving node. This information is usable by the SIPIMS node for establishing an alternative SIP session as well as information needed by other nodes and applications further on in the SIP session set-up loop. The SIPIMS node is specially adapted to retrieve the information from the redirect message for establishing a new SIP session based on and containing the information from the redirect message. Several implementations are given for use in an IP Multimedia Subsystem of a telecommunication network.

Abstract: Combinational networks provide simultaneous connectivity via networks of different network type between user equipment. For communication sessions on different network types, belonging to the same user equipment, a correlation check is enabled by introduction of an identifier denoted as Combinational Call Indicator (CCI). This CCI identifier in combination with the known Calling Line Identity (CLI) identifier enables user equipment and other and network entities to perform a correlation check between ongoing, or to be established, CScalls and PS-sessions. A user equipment, setting up a related communication session, sets the CCI identifier and provides the CCI identifier during the communication session setup towards the receiving user equipment or network entity, which is enabled to check whether the last received communication session is correlated to the earlier established session due to the presence of the CCI identifier.

A Correlation Function connected with a requested service, the table, and a PBMS access gateway receives from the PBMS access gateway, a session start request message with the terminal identifier, and utilizes the table to correlate the session start request message with the available virtual subscription based on the terminal identifier.

Abstract: Means and methodology for a telecommunication network are provided that allow using an IMEI of mobile terminal as destination or identification instead of the regular IMSI or MSISDN. This capability of the telecommunication network is provided by maintaining a set of coupled pairs of IMEI and IMSI/MSISDN. Operational messages in the telecommunication network having an IMEI address as destination or identification are translated by the appropriate IMSI or MSISDN depending on the message type, from a coupled pair having the same IMEI. Means is provided with a STP capable of maintaining the set of coupled pairs. Further several implementations are provided using the IMEI addressing capability.

Abstract: A method of routing a call setup request to a destination serving node serving a destination subscriber in an IMS network. The method comprises the steps of a switching node receiving the call setup request having a destination number of the destination subscriber, the switching node querying a number conversion database node for destination routing information using the destination number. The method further comprises the steps of the number conversion database node querying subscriber information for destination serving node information related to the destination number, the number conversion database node receiving destination serving node information from the subscriber information, the number conversion database node replying to the switching node with destination routing information comprising the destination serving node information and the switching node routing the call set up request to the destination serving node using the destination serving node information.

Abstract: The application relates to a method for setting up a call from a non-IMS telecommunication network, comprising a Network Gateway Node (NGN), to a destination node in an IMS network. The method comprises the NGN interfaces a combined database node comprising a Home Location Register (HLR) and a Home Subscriber Server (HSS). The method further comprises routing the call to the destination node in the IMS network, of which address is determined by information received from the combined database node. The method further comprises sending, sending, in response to receiving an initial call setup request message, an information request message to the combined database node for obtaining routing information for the setup of the call, the information request message comprising an indicator indicating at least one type of response that the NGN is able to process.
