  • Publication number: 20250143809
Abstract: For a surgical robotic system, a machine-learned model is used to determine port placement. For example, a machine-learned model indicates internal regions based on input of external measurements on a patient. An overlap of an inverse-kinematics-based operation region of the surgical robotic system and the internal regions of the patient is optimized based on port placement. In an alternative or additional approach, information about the surgeon (e.g., handedness) is used with the machine-learned model to determine port placement.

  • Publication number: 20250145512
Abstract: A glass manufacturing apparatus includes a delivery apparatus defining an upstream portion of a ribbon travel path extending in a first travel direction. A forming roll extends along an axis parallel to the travel path and perpendicular to the first travel direction. The forming roll includes a recess that imparts a protrusion to a ribbon. A substantially planar surface is positioned downstream from the forming roll and receives the ribbon. A conveyor supports the substantially planar surface. The conveyor moves the substantially planar surface in a second travel direction that is angled relative to the first travel direction. A force application apparatus biases the ribbon toward the substantially planar surface to alter a position of the protrusion relative to a major surface of the ribbon. Methods of manufacturing a ribbon are provided.

Abstract: A tracking system includes a host station and a sensor station. The sensor station includes transmitters transmitting an IR synchronous signal and IR laser signal. The system includes a head-mounted display and a tracked object, which has a plurality of object sensors. The tracked object determines its location and orientation relative to the sensor station based on the IR signals. The tracked object transmits the location and orientation to the host station. The host station determines an actual flight path of the tracked object during an object tracking event; generates a predicted flight path of the tracked object; and renders an image of a virtual object on a display of the head-mounted display. The image includes a virtual object corresponding to the tracked object, wherein the image is rendered in a VR environment such that the virtual object moves along the actual flight path and the predicted flight path.

  • Patent number: 12294502
Abstract: Disclosed are various examples identifying time-sensitive tasks being performed by a user of a client device that may be affected by a network connectivity issue associated with the client device and alerting the user interacting with the client device of the identified time-sensitive tasks. Network connectivity data associated one or more client devices can be used to identify patterns and context in network connectivity loss based at least in part on location, time, date, etc. Additionally, user context data associated with a user can be analyzed to predict whether the user will experience any connectivity issues and identify any tasks or action items being performed by the user interacting with the client device that may be considered time-sensitive. A user can be notified of a potential connectivity issue that may affect the ability for the user to complete a time-sensitive task.
