  • Publication number: 20240187688
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein to dynamically update content restrictions for multiple users by detecting a first user in the proximity of a media device playing a first content item and detecting a second user entering the proximity of the media device. In response to detecting a second user entering the proximity of the media device and receiving a command from the first user that controls playing the first content, the system modifies a stored relationship between the first user and the second user to track the relationship between the first user and the second user. Thereafter, when the system detects the first user and the second user in the proximity of a media device playing a second content, in response, the system automatically performs an action that controls the playing of the second content (e.g., without user having to issue those commands).

  • Publication number: 20240187488
Abstract: A host device having a first processor executes an application via the first processor. The host device determines a state of the application. A scenegraph is generated corresponding to the state of the application, and the scenegraph is presented to a remote device having a display and a second processor. The remote device is configured to, in response to receiving the scenegraph, render to the display a view corresponding to the scenegraph, without executing the application via the second processor.

  • Patent number: 11999146
Abstract: Precision and chip contamination-free placement of two-dimensional (2D) material and van der Waals (VDW) layered materials accelerates both the study of fundamental properties and novel device functionality. The system transfers 2D materials utilizing a combination of a narrow transfer-stamper and viscoelastic and optically transparent film. Precise placement of individual 2D materials results in vanishing cross-contamination to the substrate. The 2D printer results in an aerial cross-contamination improvement of two to three orders of magnitude relative to state-of-the-art transfer methods from a source of average area sub um{circumflex over (?)}2. The transfer-stamper does not physically harm any micro/nanostructures preexisting on the target substrates receiving the 2D material such as, nanoelectronics, waveguides or micro-ring resonators.

  • Patent number: 12001280
Abstract: Error correction coding (ECC) mis-corrected reads, if undetected, result in silent data corruption of a non-volatile memory device. Overcoming ECC mis-corrected reads is based on a read signature of a result of reading a page in the non-volatile memory device. An ECC mis-correct logic counts the number of bits in the end-most buckets into which the bits of the result is divided. End-most buckets that are overpopulated or starved reveal a tell-tale read signature of an ECC mis-correct. The ECC mis-correct is likely to occur when the read reference voltage level used to read the page is shifted in one direction or another to an extreme amount that risks reading data from a different page. Detecting ECC mis-corrected reads can be used to overcome the ECC mis-corrects and mitigate silent data corruption.

  • Patent number: 12002133
Abstract: Jitter application techniques are described for vector objects as implemented by a vector object jitter application system. In an implementation, the vector object jitter application system receives an input defining a stroke to be drawn on a user interface. A vector object is then generated representing the stroke and having a variable width determined by applying jitter to the stroke. The vector object having the variable width is displayed in the user interface as the input is received.

  • Patent number: 12001393
Abstract: Described is a technology that facilitates directory level snapshots at any level of a filesystem's namespace. A directory inode mapping file associates a first directory's virtual inode number(s) with real inode number(s). A snapshot of the first directory creates a second directory with a second directory inode mapping file copied from the first directory inode mapping file, thereby sharing the real inode data structure(s) of the first directory. In the event that one of the directories is to be modified, the directory real inode is split to provide a new directory real inode file for the to-be-modified directory, with the modification after the split.

  • Patent number: 12003518
Abstract: Disclosed in some examples are methods, systems, devices, and machine-readable mediums which monitor for file system element transfers to and from both the endpoint and authorized accounts on network-based service providers (e.g., cloud-based storage). The system uses the capabilities of monitoring both the network-based service and the client computing device to filter out legitimate uploads to authorized network-based services and legitimate downloads to authorized computing devices. By matching events, it filters out events that are likely legitimate, the system may provide more accurate information, notifications, awareness, and unmatched event indications.

  • Patent number: 12003058
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a vibration mitigation device. The vibration mitigation device can comprise a shell forming a hollow body that is configured to house a coupled wiring connector and a connector block. The shell can comprise first shell section and second shell section that are operably engaged with each other, and engaged with a vehicle component to which the connector block is engaged. The shape and sizing of the shell and its hollow body allow for a compressive force to be applied to the coupled connectors, to mitigate vibration between the two connectors during use.

  • Patent number: 12001409
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to merge operations for multi-level data structures, such as log-structured merge-trees (LSM trees). A computer system may store, in a database, a plurality of files as part of an LSM tree and a plurality of database key structures. A given one of the plurality of database key structures may indicate, for a corresponding one of the plurality of files, a set of key ranges derived from database records that are included in the corresponding file. The computer system may determine, using ones of the plurality of database key structures, a key range overlap that is indicative of an extent of overlap of key ranges from a set of the plurality of files with respect to a particular key range. Based on the determined key range overlap, the computer system may assign a priority level to a merge operation that involves the set of files.
