    Abstract: A method for determining crystal phases of a glass ceramic sample, including the steps of applying energy to the sample using an excitation source, detecting raw Raman spectral energy that is given off by the sample using a detector, wherein the raw Raman spectral energy includes peak values, determining a plurality of predetermined energy peaks based off a composition of the sample, superimposing the plurality of predetermined energy peaks over the raw Raman spectral energy, applying a baseline value between each predetermined energy peak, subtracting the baseline value from the raw Raman spectral energy, calculating corrected peak values based on the raw Raman spectral energy and baseline value, and determining the crystal phases of the glass ceramic sample based on the corrected peak values.

    Abstract: Verification system and methods are provided for allowing database server responses to be verified. A proxy device may maintain a data structure (e.g., a Merkle B+-tree) within a secure memory space (e.g., an Intel SGX enclave) associated with a protected application. In some embodiments, the data structure may comprise hashed values representing hashed versions of the data managed by the database server. The proxy may intercept client requests submitted from a client device and forward such requests to the database server. Responses from the database server may be verified using the data structure (e.g., the hashes contained in the Merkle B+-tree). If the data is verified by the proxy device, the response may be transmitted to the client device.

Further, the method involves forwarding the data packets received in the service function path to a second host device (113) based on the modified source MAC address. An embodiment of present disclosure eliminates need of special headers such as, SFC header and VLAN header for forwarding data packets on the SFP. Thus, reducing the packet size and ultimately traffic volume.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for secure multi-party generation of random bits are disclosed. These random bits can be generated securely, even if some parties (i.e., less than a corruption threshold) are dishonest or malicious. Methods and systems can use secure environments in order to securely generate and store cryptographic keys. Using broadcast protocols such as Dolev-Strong, a generator computer can distribute a public protocol instance key to other participant computers. Each participant computer can generate a random bit and encrypted the random bit with the public protocol instance key, and broadcast its encrypted random bit to the other participant computers. Once each participant computer has received the encrypted random bits from all other participant computers, the private protocol instance key can be released to the participant computers, enabling the participant computers to decrypt the encrypted random bits, and calculate an output random bit based on the encrypted random bits.

An inter-predicted encoded video block and side information are identified within a bitstream. Based on the side information, a trained transform is determined for inverse transforming transform coefficients of the inter-predicted encoded video block from amongst multiple trained transforms. The transform coefficients of the inter-predicted encoded video block are inverse transformed according to the trained transform to produce a prediction residual. A video block is reconstructed using the prediction residual and the reference frame. The video block is then output within an output video stream for storage or display. To determine the trained transforms, a learning model uses individual side information types and combinations of the individual side information types processed against a training data set.
