  • Patent number: 11197004
Abstract: Transform modes are derived for inter-predicted blocks using side information available within a bitstream. An inter-predicted encoded video block and side information are identified within a bitstream. Based on the side information, a trained transform is determined for inverse transforming transform coefficients of the inter-predicted encoded video block from amongst multiple trained transforms. The transform coefficients of the inter-predicted encoded video block are inverse transformed according to the trained transform to produce a prediction residual. A video block is reconstructed using the prediction residual and the reference frame. The video block is then output within an output video stream for storage or display. To determine the trained transforms, a learning model uses individual side information types and combinations of the individual side information types processed against a training data set.

  • Patent number: 11191430
Abstract: A Bowman's Refractive Index (BRI) for quantification of microdistortions in Bowman's Layer (BL) after Small Incision Lenticule Extraction (SMILE) is defined for a patient. BRI is summation of one or more areas of the OCT image of anterior edge of Bowman's layer, quantifies the smoothness of the Bowman's layer. The anterior edge of Bowman's layer is segmented into pixels. After segmentation, a 3rd order polynomial is curve fit to the segmented pixels of the edge of Bowman's layer. BRI is calculated by segmentation of the 3-Dimensional (3-D) OCT image. BRI acts as a marker for mechanical stability and is useful for diagnosis of disease and prognosis of treatments in human.

  • Publication number: 20210373851
Abstract: An electronic device can implement a zero-latency digital assistant by capturing audio input from a microphone and using a first processor to write audio data representing the captured audio input to a memory buffer. In response to detecting a user input while capturing the audio input, the device can determine whether the user input meets a predetermined criteria. If the user input meets the criteria, the device can use a second processor to identify and execute a task based on at least a portion of the contents of the memory buffer.

  • Patent number: 11189027
Abstract: Disclosed subject matter relates to Peripheral Blood Smear (PBS) that determines an area to be scanned in PBS for analysis. A PBS analysing system captures a focused image at each of plurality of positions in the PBS and determines Quality Indicators (QIs) in focused image. Further, a region is identified in PBS where QIs of focused image satisfy predefined QI threshold limits, as a monolayer region of PBS and determines an initiation point in monolayer region based on cell count value and co-ordinates of each of the plurality of positions located in the monolayer region. Finally, the area to be scanned in monolayer region is determined based on the initiation point and a predefined scan pattern. Determining the area to be scanned yields accurate and faster results.

  • Publication number: 20210368395
Abstract: An approach to provide dynamic adjustment in order to meet the limitation of data rate per network slice in the uplink and downlink wireless connections in a wireless network. The approach uses a network slice quota (NSQ) management function, which keeps track of aggregated maximum bit rates (AMBR) for a slice. Upon reaching a limit, the NSQ functionality dynamically adjusts the user equipment (UE) data rates, reduces the quality of service (QoS), and/or rejects any protocol data unit (PDU) request. Several techniques are described that meet these objectives. In one technique, when the limit is reached, the session AMBR per subscription level is adjusted in proportionate ratio of the maximum bit rate per subscription level per UE. In another technique, when the limit is reached, there is a proportionate equivalent increment and decrement of session AMBR based on usage patterns of the subscription levels.

  • Patent number: 11184412
Abstract: Described are systems, methods, and apparatus that enable constraint based communications between two or more devices. For example, a first user of a first device may submit a communication request to establish a communication session with a second user and provide a constraint for that communication session, such as a time-limit (e.g., limit the communication session to five minutes). In such an example, if the second user accepts the communication request with the constraint, a communication session is established and the system monitors the communication session to determine when a condition corresponding to the constraint has been satisfied. When the condition is satisfied, the communication session is terminated by the system.

  • Patent number: 11182721
Abstract: An approach is provided in which an information handling system trains on a set of historical data that includes a set of first infractions caused by a set of first businesses and a set of fines imposed on the set of first businesses based on the set of first infractions. The trained information handling system then performs a risk assessment of a second business that includes predicting a set of possible infractions of the second business based on a set of characteristics of the second business. Then, the information handling system predicts a set of possible fines corresponding to the set of possible infractions based on the historical data. In turn, the information handling system generates a risk report that includes the set of possible infractions and the corresponding set of possible fines.
