  • Patent number: 10547801
Abstract: Detection of an image obstruction is facilitated by, in part, obtaining multiple frames of an image being captured via an imaging device, and confirming movement of the imaging device between the multiple frames. The movement causes perspective shifting of the image between frames and the perspective shifting results in one or more objects of the image shifting between frames. The detection process determines whether an edge object within the multiple frames does not shift in a manner corresponding to the one or more objects between the multiple frames, and based, at least in part, on determining that the edge object does not shift in the corresponding manner to the one or more objects, identifying the edge object as an image obstruction. Presence of the identified image obstruction is signaled to facilitate corrective action being taken.

  • Publication number: 20200029170
Abstract: The described embodiments relate to systems, methods, and apparatuses for controlling a network of lights (120) according to whether people (122) who are observing the lights are visitors from a different location (108). Visitors can be identified by using network connection data (116, 208) that includes entries corresponding to personal devices of visitors to a city. The network connection data can be filtered to identify how many personal devices are associated with people visiting from a different city. If the number of visitors exceeds some threshold relative to non-visitors, a lighting arrangement in the city can be controlled to display features that would appeal to the visitors. The features can correspond to aspects of the city where the visitors are from and can therefore make the city more attractive.

  • Publication number: 20200027444
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer-readable media, for performing speech recognition using sequence-to-sequence models. An automated speech recognition (ASR) system receives audio data for an utterance and provides features indicative of acoustic characteristics of the utterance as input to an encoder. The system processes an output of the encoder using an attender to generate a context vector and generates speech recognition scores using the context vector and a decoder trained using a training process that selects at least one input to the decoder with a predetermined probability. An input to the decoder during training is selected between input data based on a known value for an element in a training example, and input data based on an output of the decoder for the element in the training example. A transcription is generated for the utterance using word elements selected based on the speech recognition scores. The transcription is provided as an output of the ASR system.

  • Patent number: 10539032
Abstract: A turbomachine includes a plurality of nozzles, and each nozzle has an airfoil. The turbomachine has opposing walls defining a pathway into which a fluid flow is receivable to flow through the pathway. A throat distribution is measured at a narrowest region in the pathway between adjacent nozzles, at which adjacent nozzles extend across the pathway between the opposing walls to aerodynamically interact with the fluid flow. The airfoil defines the throat distribution, and the throat distribution is defined by values set forth in Table 1, where the throat distribution values are within a +/?10% tolerance of the values set forth in Table 1. The throat distribution reduces aerodynamic loss and improves aerodynamic loading on each airfoil.

  • Publication number: 20200017395
Abstract: A method for ceramming a glass article to a glass-ceramic includes placing a glass article into a heating apparatus, and heating the glass article to a first hold temperature at a first predetermined heating rate. The glass article is held at the first hold temperature for a first predetermined duration. The viscosity of the glass article is maintained within log viscosity ±1.0 poise during the first predetermined duration. The glass article is then heated from the first hold temperature to a second hold temperature at a second predetermined heating rate. The glass article is held at the second hold temperature for a second duration. A density of the glass article is monitored from the heating of the glass article from the first hold temperature through the second duration, and the second duration is ended when an absolute value of a density rate of change of the glass article is less than or equal to 0.10 (g/cm3)/min.

  • Patent number: 10536357
Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for synchronizing timestamps of a sensor report to the clock of a device. In one embodiment, the device receives a report from a sensor of a node. The report can include a network activity of the node captured by the sensor and a first timestamp relative to the clock of the node. The device can then determine a second timestamp relative to the clock of the collector indicating receipt of the report by the device and from the sensor at the node. The device can also determine a delta between the first timestamp and the second timestamp, and a communication latency associated with a communication channel between the device and the sensor. Next, the device can adjust the delta based on the communication latency, and generate a third timestamp based on the adjusted delta.
