  • Patent number: 10296995
Abstract: Methods and systems for dynamically maintaining a map of robotic devices in an environment are provided herein. A map of robotic devices may be determined, where the map includes predicted future locations of at least some of the robotic devices. One or more robotic devices may then be caused to perform a task. During a performance of the task by the one or more robotic devices, task progress data may be received from the robotic devices, indicative of which of the task phases have been performed. Based on the data, the map may be updated to include a modification to the predicted future locations of at least some of the robotic devices. One or more robotic devices may then be caused to perform at least one other task in accordance with the updated map.

  • Patent number: 10297095
Abstract: Features are disclosed for accurately authenticating a delivery agent for unattended delivery of an item. The systems and methods described confirm the location of the delivery agent and proximity to the delivery location using short range wireless communications between a monitoring device at the delivery location and a communication device associated with the delivery agent. Access may also be conditioned on user specified “do not disturb” rules indicating when remote access is authorized. The authentication may be dynamically assessed such as based on a type of item being delivered.

  • Patent number: 10296523
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods to estimate Importance Measure (IM) and temporal Importance Measure (IM) for any type of data in a distributed enterprise network by involving direct and indirect stakeholders of the data in the estimation process. Firstly data type of the received data is identified. Data type plugins including pre-defined classes, IM matrix and Temporal IM matrix are loaded for the identified data type. Extracted features from the data are appropriately mapped against pre-defined classes and then the IM is estimated. Temporal IM is estimated taking into account the current time and the rate of change.

  • Publication number: 20190146583
Abstract: A wearable gesture control interface apparatus samples first sensor data from one or more sensors in response to user motion, stores the first sensor data in memory, and determines whether the first sensor data meets a first threshold. If the first sensor data meets the first threshold, the interface apparatus samples second sensor data from the one or more sensors in response to subsequent user motion, stores the second sensor data in the memory, traces the first and second sensor data stored in the memory, and determines whether the second sensor data does not meet a second threshold. If the second sensor data is less than the second threshold, the interface apparatus performs pattern recognition on the traced first and second sensor data, and identifies a first gesture based on the pattern recognition of the traced first and second sensor data.

  • Publication number: 20190149583
Abstract: A method of improving initial IMS registration after 403 Forbidden response is proposed. A UE sends a SIP register to an IMS server for initiating IMS registration. The initial IMS registration fails and the UE receives a SIP message with a 403 Forbidden response code. In the 403 Forbidden response code, the IMS server includes an XML body and uses the <reason> header value of the XML body to indicate an error type (e.g., temporary or permanent) followed by a retry-after timer value. As a result, the network can indicate to UE whether the IMS registration rejection is permanent or is due to some temporary internal failure. By adding the retry-after timer value, the network can indicate to UE when to retry the next IMS registration.

  • Patent number: 10289525
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for integrating front-end applications with application program interfaces (APIs) and middleware business services. A front-end application flow, including at least one call to one or more business services flows, and one or more business services flows, each including one or more calls to application program interfaces (APIs), are received at a processor and the processor compiles a complete end-to-end flow that includes the front-end application flow and the one or more business services flows. The complete end-to-end flow is expressed in ordered terms of the one or more business services flows and the one or more calls to the APIs. A projected latency for the complete end-to-end flow is automatically constructed by the processor by totaling response times for each of the one or more calls to the APIs included in the complete end-to-end flow.

  • Publication number: 20190140995
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for analyzing communication messages (e.g., emails) and selecting corresponding actions are described. In some database systems, a user may receive multiple messages at a user device. To efficiently determine responses to these messages, the user device may send the messages to a backend server for analysis. The server may perform natural language processing (NLP) to classify the message with one or more binary classifications and may extract metadata from each message. Based on the classifications and the metadata, the server may determine one or more actions the user device may perform to respond to each message. The server may send instructions to the user device indicating the suggested actions, and the user device may display these actions as options to a user. Additionally, the user device may use the classifications and metadata to automatically generate one or more communication templates in response to the message.

  • Publication number: 20190141292
Abstract: Embodiments are described for receiving, at a server, a user device request to connect to a video conference. The server authenticates the user device request to access the video conference. The server and user device perform a plurality of data exchanges between the server and user device in order to configure a video conference connection according to a set of user device capabilities and account permissions. The server defaults to a predefined configuration connection state when a failure of the data exchanges is detected in order to provide the user device with a minimum connection state to the video conference. The server connects the user device to the video conference in accordance with the configuration state determined by the server.

  • Publication number: 20190139089
Abstract: An online system uses a model to determine affinities of users for geographical locations. Using the affinities, which may indicate travel-related preferences of the users, the online system may customize content items to include content captured by client devices of other users of the online system. For example, the online system presents to a particular user a content item including a photo or video of a geographical location captured by a camera of a client device of another user who is connected to the particular user. The model may implement, for example, collaborative filtering or other machine learning techniques to determine commonalities between users' travel affinities. Additionally, the model may determine latent properties or temporal trends of user preferences based on training data including historical actions performed on the online system or social data. The model may also classify different types of geographical locations.
