  • Publication number: 20190079818
Abstract: In order to provide effective diagnostics and logging of error messages produced during the execution of processes across multiple components, systems and methods are disclosed for the generating, managing, and processing centralized logs containing those error messages. In particular, the components may write error messages to a centralized log instead of writing the error messages to local log files. These error messages may include exception messages and diagnostics messages. These various error messages in the centralized log can be read, identified, and organized. Furthermore, enrichments and/or analytics may be applied to the error messages based on information from a knowledge source or the application of one or more machine learning models. The organized error messages, enrichments, and analytics can be stored in an output log that can be easily retrieved and viewed through a graphical interface.

  • Publication number: 20190077634
Abstract: An elevator belt includes elongate load carrying members and a jacket with a straight line of recesses parallel to an extension direction of the belt at a center of the jacket. The recesses extend at least to a depth between two neighboring members and can be slits throughout the jacket. The recesses have lateral flanks arranged at an angle of more than 60° to an extension plane of the belt. A sheave has a main body with a cylindrical traction surface and a sprocket arranged coaxial with and at a center of the traction surface with respect to a longitudinal extension of the traction surface. Teeth of the sprocket extend outwardly beyond the traction surface. A bearing connects the sprocket rotatably to the main body. The teeth engage and cooperate with the recesses or slits to prevent any lateral slippage or jumping of the belt on the traction surface.

  • Patent number: 10228921
Abstract: Processor hardware detects when memory aliasing occurs, and assures proper operation of the code even in the presence of memory aliasing. Because the hardware can detect and correct for memory aliasing, this allows a compiler to make optimizations such as register promotion even in regions of the code where memory aliasing can occur. The result is code that is more optimized and therefore runs faster.

  • Patent number: 10231313
Abstract: An apparatus, a system and a method for improving the determination of occupancy in an area is disclosed. The apparatus represents a motion sensor that provides improved granularity of the determination of motion within a first time period, wherein samples are collected during the first time period and then integrated over the first time period to determine a level of motion. The determined level of motion during the first time period are stored and transmitted at the end of a second time period. In one aspect of the invention, the occupancy is determined based on the collected level of motion inpreceding first time periods. In another aspect of the invention, the collected information is transmitted over a network, where the transmitted data may be further collected and processed.

  • Publication number: 20190070840
Abstract: Precision and chip contamination-free placement of two-dimensional (2D) material and van der Waals (VDW) layered materials accelerates both the study of fundamental properties and novel device functionality. The system transfers 2D materials utilizing a combination of a narrow transfer-stamper and viscoelastic and optically transparent film. Precise placement of individual 2D materials results in vanishing cross-contamination to the substrate. The 2D printer results in an aerial cross-contamination improvement of two to three orders of magnitude relative to state-of-the-art transfer methods from a source of average area sub um?2. The transfer-stamper does not physically harm any micro/nanostructures preexisting on the target substrates receiving the 2D material such as, nanoelectronics, waveguides or micro-ring resonators.

  • Patent number: 10225762
Abstract: According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a system for suppressing message flooding during access note-Gateway (AN-GW) unavailability and/or after AN-GW restoration. The system includes a network node including at least one processor and a memory. The network node includes an interface for receiving an indication of unavailability of an AN-GW. An AN-GW status maintainer maintains, in the memory, a node-level AN-GW status indicator indicating availability or unavailability of the AN-GW and setting the node-level AN-GW status indicator to unavailable in response to receiving the indication of unavailability of the AN-GW. An AN-GW status checker checks status of the AN-GW using the node-level AN-GW status indicator and suppresses, based on the status of the AN-GW determined from the node-level AN-GW status indicator, messaging for plural sessions involving the AN-GW.
