  • Publication number: 20190042322
Abstract: Containers are allocated to tenants in a multi-tenant container system in a SaaS environment. Resource usage by containers is monitored to determine one or more per-tenant resource metrics, where each container provides an isolated execution space dedicated to a corresponding tenant. Data storage may also be isolated for each tenant. Each tenant is allocated resources associated with one or more containers. Containers are automatically allocated to tenants based at least in part upon the one or more per-tenant resource metrics.

  • Patent number: 10198322
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods to optimize data backup in a distributed enterprise system by firstly generating a set of unique files from all the files available in the enterprise. A backup set comprising files to be backed up are then generated from the set of unique files and backup is scheduled in the order in which the files to be backed up are identified. Unique files are generated based on file sharing patterns and communications among users that enable generating a social network graph from which one or more communities can be detected and deduplication can be performed on the files hosted by client systems in these communities thereby conserving resources.

  • Publication number: 20190034177
Abstract: Processor hardware detects when memory aliasing occurs, and assures proper operation of the code even in the presence of memory aliasing. Because the hardware can detect and correct for memory aliasing, this allows a compiler to make optimizations such as register promotion even in regions of the code where memory aliasing can occur. The result is code that is more optimized and therefore runs faster.

  • Publication number: 20190037010
Abstract: A single centralized metadata repository for an entire enterprise can maintain the metadata pertaining to various different web service applications on application servers of heterogeneous types within the enterprise. The metadata items stored in the centralized repository all can be stored in a same canonical format that can be expected and understood by all metadata accessors. The metadata maintained within the central repository can be given a life span that is linked with the life span of the web service application to which that metadata pertains. When a web service application is deployed on an application server, metadata pertaining to that webservice can be pushed automatically to the central repository for storage. When such a web service application is undeployed from an application server, the metadata pertaining to that webservice can be removed automatically from the central repository so as not to waste storage space.

  • Publication number: 20190037549
Abstract: Communicating wireless devices collaborate and utilize waveforms to enable secure channel estimation. To protect against a repetitive replay attack, some embodiments include Single Carrier Physical Layer (SC-PHY) waveforms and/or interpolated OFDM waveforms that do not include a repeatable or predictable structure. The waveforms are transmitted in ranging packet structures that are compatible with legacy 802.11 technologies that do not utilize secure channel estimation. The ranging packets are received in combination with the information previously exchanged to enable the receiving wireless system to securely determine a channel estimate (e.g., determine a channel estimate without an interloper transmission that is not an authentic first arrival path in a multi-path channel between the wireless systems). Thus, one or both of the wireless systems can estimate the distance between them (or range). Devices utilizing legacy 802.

  • Publication number: 20190034496
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing a query using abstracted metadata are described. As described, a metadata object that requests data from a plurality of data sources can be received from, for example, a user device. One or more queries for the one or more of the plurality of data sources based upon the metadata object can be generated. The queries can then be transmitted to the one or more data sources. Results of the queries, according to the method, can be stored in a block memory. In various embodiments, the metadata object may be user-generated and define one or more of a data source, filter conditions, sorting conditions, aggregations criteria, and an operation. Additionally, various embodiments describe updating the queries at pre-determined intervals which can be defined by the metadata object.
