  • Patent number: 10010191
Abstract: A mattress bag assembly includes a bag that is selectively be positioned around a mattress. A first barrier unit is coupled to the mattress to pose an obstacle for the bed bugs thereby requiring the bed bugs to crawl over the first barrier unit. The first barrier unit includes a first adhesive to adhere to the bed bugs when the bed bugs crawl over the first barrier unit. Thus, the bed bugs are inhibited from accessing a person lying on the mattress. A second barrier unit is coupled to the mattress to pose an obstacle for the bed bugs thereby requiring the bed bugs to crawl over the second barrier unit. The second barrier unit includes a second adhesive to adhere to the bed bugs when the bed bugs crawl over the second barrier unit. • Patent number: 10013760
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods, systems, and computer-readable storage media that can be used to image an unstained sample. Traditionally histopathology and immunohistochemistry methods use stains or dyes in combination with microscopy (or other detection methods) to detect cells and cellular structures, such as proteins. However, the disclosed methods do not require the use of such stains and dyes. The disclosed methods can include obtaining a spectroscopic image (e.g., infrared (IR) imaging data) of the sample, analyzing the resulting spectroscopic image to reduce the dimensionality of the spectroscopic image, comparing the reduced spectroscopic image compared to a control (e.g., by using an appropriately trained algorithm) and generating an output computed stain image from the reduced IR spectra, thereby imaging the sample without the use of stains or dyes.

Abstract: A system and method for energy management for multi customer multi time zone distributed facilities are disclosed. In one embodiment, data associated with the energy management of the multi customer distributed facilities located in different time zones is obtained based on associated energy models by a data acquisition/integration layer. Further, the obtained data for energy management of the multi customer distributed facilities is transformed by a data management layer. Furthermore, control commands are generated using the transformed data and associated one or more pre-defined thresholds and set-points by an energy transaction layer. Also, energy of the multi customer distributed facilities is substantially simultaneously managed using the generated control commands by the energy transaction layer.

  • Publication number: 20180175932
Abstract: The disclosure relates in some aspects to location reporting and paging for satellite communication. In one aspect, the disclosure relates to a user terminal (UT) sending a message to report information about the UT's location. A threshold may be used to control whether (e.g., when) the UT reports its location. The location information may be used to enforce area (e.g., country) restrictions for the UT. In one aspect, the disclosure relates to forwarding paging messages between network access controllers. For example, a network access controller that is not able to page a UT may forward a paging message to another network access controller. In one aspect, the disclosure relates to a list of paging areas that indicates where a UT need not perform a paging area update.

  • Publication number: 20180173808
Abstract: According to an example, intent and bot based query guidance may include receiving a query associated with a domain, and identifying, based on an analysis of the query, an intent of the query by extracting an action associated with the query and an entity associated with the query. An intent model associated with the query may be generated based on a mapping of the action and the entity with a domain model of the domain. An intent domain specific language representation of the intent model associated with the query may be generated. Based on an analysis of the intent domain specific language representation, a plurality of bots may be identified, and a parameterized bot chain may be generated to respond to the query. A runtime binding of bots of the parameterized bot chain may be performed, and invoked to generate the response to the query.

  • Patent number: 10003432
Abstract: A modulation coding scheme (MCS) is selected i) from a first set of MCSs when the PHY data unit is to be transmitted using a first channel bandwidth, and ii) from a second set of MCSs when the PHY data unit is to be transmitted using a second channel bandwidth. The first set of MCSs corresponds to i) a number of spatial streams, and ii) the first channel bandwidth, the second set of MCSs corresponds to i) the number of spatial streams, and ii) the second channel bandwidth. The second set of MCSs excludes one or more MCSs in the first set of MCSs that will result in a padding-related constraint not being met when the second channel bandwidth is to be used. Information bits are encoded according to the selected MCS, and modulated according to the selected MCS.

  • Patent number: 10002115
Abstract: Technologies for performing hybrid rendering of web pages are described in which some web page resources are rendered by a server to create processed layers (e.g., composited layers) and other web page resources are left in a format that can be locally rendered at the client. For example, a server can split web page resources into a first part and a second part. The first part can be rendered down to processed layers and placeholder layers can be created representing the second part. The processed layers, the placeholder layers, and the second part of the web page resources can be sent to the client. The client can render the second part of the web page resources and merge them with the processed layers. The client can display the web page using the merged layers. The client can update the web page by locally re-rendering the second part of the web page resources.
