  • Publication number: 20180359163
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media for suppressing redundant packet filter installation on user equipment in a mobile network are disclosed. In some examples, a method includes installing a first packet filter on user equipment (UE) for the mobile network. The method includes receiving a filter installation instruction from a policy rules node for the policy enforcement node to install at least a second packet filter on the UE. The method includes determining that the second packet filter is redundant to the first packet filter and, in response to determining that the second packet filter is redundant to the first packet filter, disregarding the filter installation instruction to install the second packet filter on the UE.

  • Publication number: 20180353065
Abstract: A Bowman's Refractive Index (BRI) for quantification of microdistortions in Bowman's Layer (BL) after Small Incision Lenticule Extraction (SMILE) is defined for a patient. BRI is summation of one or more areas of the OCT image of anterior edge of Bowman's layer, quantifies the smoothness of the Bowman's layer. The anterior edge of Bowman's layer is segmented into pixels. After segmentation, a 3rd order polynomial is curve fit to the segmented pixels of the edge of Bowman's layer. BRI is calculated by segmentation of the 3-Dimensional (3-D) OCT image. BRI acts as a marker for mechanical stability and is useful for diagnosis of disease and prognosis of treatments in human.

  • Patent number: 10154079
Abstract: A pre-boot file transfer system includes at least one server device that creates a plurality of packets for a file and provides a respective file offset value for each of the plurality of packets in a header of that packet. The at least one server device transmits each of the plurality of packets over a network to a client device that is in a pre-boot environment. The client device receives each of the plurality of packets and stores the plurality of packets in a receive buffer in the order that the plurality of packets were received. The client device then writes the plurality of packets that were stored in the receive buffer into an application buffer in an order that is defined by the respective file offset values for the plurality of packets.

  • Patent number: 10152211
Abstract: A service provider system may include an application fulfillment platform that delivers desktop applications to end users (e.g., to physical computing devices or virtual desktop instances). An application delivery agent installed on an end user's device may send requests to access platform control plane services on behalf of the agent or the end user (along with security credentials) and may retrieve messages directed to the device from a queue on the platform. Messages may be placed in the queue by control plane services in response to agent requests. Messages may include instructions for the agent to perform installing, uninstalling, updating, or reinstalling a virtualized desktop application package on the device. The agent may request and retrieve (from the queue) information about the intended (or assumed) installation state of applications on the device, compare it to locally stored information about the actual state, and initiate corrective action, if needed.

  • Publication number: 20180349244
Abstract: Circuits, methods, and apparatus that may estimate the power being consumed by an OLED display screen of an electronic device, may provide further information about that power usage, may modify or change functions performed by the electronic device based on that power usage, and may inform an application's developer about the amount of power being used by the electronic device while the electronic device is running the application. One example may estimate the power being used by an OLED display screen of an electronic device by determining the content of images being displayed during a duration. • Patent number: 10149205
Abstract: A method and system of bearer management signalling in a communication network comprising of transporting bearer resource request message of both the UE and RN via DeNB to managing entity of UE within EPC, as a signalling message over uplink channel referred to as “Union of Resource Request” (UR Request)' message. The bearer resource response message from one of the managing entity of UE or managing entities of UE and RN within EPC are transported as a signalling message to Evolved Packet Edge (EPE) via DeNB over the downlink channel referred to as “Independent Admission Response” (IA Response). This manages bearer setup signalling as a single loop, by transportation of “UR Request” signalling message over uplink and receiving one “IA Response” signalling message over downlink channels. EPE is a conglomeration of network nodes comprising of UEs, RNs and all other network nodes that communicate over EPC via DeNB.

  • Patent number: 10141414
Abstract: A gate electrode structure of a transistor element may be provided as a series connection of a negative capacitor portion and a floating electrode portion. When forming the negative capacitor portion, the value of the negative capacitance may be adjusted on the basis of two different mechanisms or manufacturing processes, thereby providing superior matching of the positive floating gate electrode portion and the negative capacitor portion. For example, the layer thickness of the ferroelectric material and the effective capacitive area of the dielectric material may be adjusted on the basis of independent manufacturing processes.

  • Patent number: 10140267
Abstract: Techniques of operating a GRC processing platform involve terminating retrieval activity in a data source when the data source indicates that there is no data to be obtained that satisfies a specified logical condition. Along these lines, a user of the GRC processing platform provides instructions to retrieve data from an external data source. As part of the data retrieval, the GRC processing platform accesses data from the external source and transforms the data from a first format (e.g., XML) to a second format (e.g., XML) appropriate for an application that runs on the GRC processing platform. After the transformation, the GRC processing platform receives an indication that the transformed data satisfies a logical condition indicating that the data being retrieved is not desired for the application. In this case, the GRC processing platform terminates the data retrieval.

  • Patent number: 10139429
Abstract: Systems, methods, and program products are provided for the calibration and scanning of multiple AFM probe heads used employed together for synchronous scanning. An automated calibration process is provided employing scan data from multiple AFM probe heads to automatically calibrate the system and position the probe heads at relative offset positions that are successively closer and more precise. Multiple heads are scanned simultaneously and synchronously to produce scan images, which are automatically evaluated to recognize a common feature. From this, a relative offset of the images is calculated and the true position of each probe tip may be known. Using this knowledge, a position offset is applied to bring the probe tips closer together at a desired spatial relationship. The techniques may be repeated at two or more levels varying from coarse to fine, and may be repeated after probing or movement to a new region of interest.
