Abstract: A method for verifying video statistics of a content hosting platform includes enrolling, by a measurement service, a client device as a panel client device to provide panel reports independent of the content hosting platform, and sending a panel sniffer module to the panel client device. The panel sniffer module to cause the panel client device to send panel reports to the measurement service, and the panel reports include first video statistics of playback of a video by a player executing on the panel client device. The method also includes receiving a panel report from the panel client device and receiving a measurement report from the content hosting platform. The measurement report is generated by the content hosting platform and includes second video statistics of the playback. • Patent number: 10134212
Abstract: A first user associated with a structure (e.g., a home, a building, etc.) may authorize a second user to access the structure when the first user is not present. The second user may request to access the structure via a text message that includes an access code that was previously provided. The second user may be verified/authenticated based on the telephone number in which the text message was received, the access code, and/or an access schedule that indicates when the second user is authorized to access the structure. The second user may send a second text message indicating a desire to lock/unlock a structure entrance (e.g., a door) to the structure that contains a smart lock. Upon receiving the second text message, a service provider sends an instruction to the smart lock, causing the structure entrance to become locked/unlocked, and allowing the second user to access or secure the structure.

  • Patent number: 10130808
Abstract: Various systems and methods provide iontophoretic delivery of anesthesia at a patient's tympanic membrane. Some implementations provide channel switching enabling a single current sink to pull current through two electrodes in an alternating fashion based on clock pulses. The iontophoretic delivery of anesthesia may be driven by an AC modulated current. Some implementations provide for continuous flow of fresh iontophoresis fluid to the ear canal during iontophoresis. The fluid flows from a source reservoir into the cavity between the tympanic membrane and a plug, and then drains out of the cavity to a reservoir. An iontophoresis system may also detect capacitance between an anode electrode and an auxiliary electrode in a patient's ear canal, watching for reduced capacitance to indicate presence of a bubble in the iontophoresis fluid.

  • Patent number: 10135572
Abstract: In a method for generating a data unit conforming to a first communication protocol, a first field and a second field to be included in a preamble of the data unit are generated. The first field includes a first set of one or more information bits that indicate a duration of the data unit and is formatted such that the first field allows a receiver device that conforms to a second communication protocol to determine the duration of the data unit. The second field includes a second set of one or more information bits that indicate to a receiver device that conforms to the first communication protocol that the data unit conforms to the first communication protocol. The first field and the second field are modulated using a modulation scheme specified for a field corresponding to the first field and the second field, respectively, by the second communication protocol.
