  • Publication number: 20170305810
Abstract: Methods are provided for improving the yield of aromatics during conversion of oxygenate feeds. An oxygenate feed can contain a mixture of oxygenate compounds, including one or more compounds with a hydrogen index of less than 2, so that an effective hydrogen index of the mixture of oxygenates is between about 1.4 and 1.9. Methods are also provided for converting a mixture of oxygenates with an effective hydrogen index greater than about 1 with a pyrolysis oil co-feed. The difficulties in co-processing a pyrolysis oil can be reduced or minimized by staging the introduction of pyrolysis oil into a reaction system. This can allow varying mixtures of pyrolysis oil and methanol, or another oxygenate feed, to be introduced into a reaction system at various feed entry points.

  • Patent number: 9798872
Abstract: Providing access to electronic information. A first password string associated with a user is received. A second password string associated with the user and a rule for configuring and generating a third password string from the second password string is retrieved from a database. The rule specifies a dynamic element to insert in the second password string based on first contextual information associated with the user. The value of the specified dynamic element is determined based on second contextual information associated with the user. Based on the rule, the third password string is configured and generated from the second password string. It is determined that the first password string matches the third password string. Access to the electronic information is granted.

  • Publication number: 20170300496
Abstract: In one embodiment, a computing device of a network environment may receive a search query comprising location parameters. The computing device may identify locations matching the search query. The computing device may access a particular record corresponding to the location, wherein the record indicates actions by users performed on the network environment with respect to the location. The computing device may determine, for each identified location, one or more counts of one or more types of actions. The computing device may generate a search-results page comprising references corresponding to the identified locations. Each reference may display the determined counts for the respective identified location. The references may be listed in ranked order based at least in part on their respective counts. The computing device may send to a client device of a user instructions for presenting the search-results page to the user.

  • Publication number: 20170300948
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for use in predicting purchases in regions based on payment account transaction data from in and around the regions. One exemplary method includes generating a purchase propensity model based on historic transaction data and determining a recent sales value of the region based on a set of transactions that occurred in the region during a recent time interval. A set of consumer accounts that include transactions in the region during the recent time interval is determined. The computing device calculates consumer propensity scores for the consumer accounts based on the purchase propensity model. The propensity scores are combined into an overall purchase propensity for the region. The overall purchase propensity and recent sales value of the region are used to determine a predicted sales value of the region, whereby businesses in the region make business decisions confident that the predicted sales value is accurate.

  • Patent number: 9792428
Abstract: Providing access to electronic information. A first password string and a rule for configuring and generating a second password string from the first password string, are received from a user. The rule specifies a dynamic element to insert at a position in the first password string, based on first contextual information associated with the user. The value of the specified dynamic element is determined based on second contextual information associated with the user. Upon receiving a third password string, the second password string is configured and generated from the first password string, based on the rule, by: selecting the specified dynamic element based on the first contextual information; inserting the selected dynamic element in the first password string; and determining the value of the selected dynamic element based on the second contextual information. If the third password string matches the second password string, access to the electronic information is granted.

  • Patent number: 9788721
Abstract: Some examples include a secure low-power sensor platform able to be used for activity monitoring or other purposes. For instance, a sensor system may sense sparse signals using compressed sensing. As one example, compressed sensing may be used to obtain sparse signals from analog sensor signals received from one or more sensors. The data obtained by compressed sensing may be sent subsequently to a computing device to reconstruct the sensor signal. Examples herein enable lower power usage, lower cost, and lower weight than conventional devices, while also enabling processing advantages, such as less overall data to process and lower data storage utilization.

Abstract: In general, the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in methods, systems, and program products for correlating status information generated in a computer network. A computing system receives, for each particular computer server or application program in a group of computer servers and application programs that are executing on the computer servers, information that identifies statuses of the particular computer server or application program at a plurality of times. The computing system generates, using the information received, network signatures that each represent statuses of the computer servers and application programs in the group for a particular time, the network signatures being for multiple times.

  • Patent number: 9794253
Abstract: A method provides device access security via use of periodically changing Quick Response (QR) codes. The method includes: generating (706) a first authentication QR code and assigning (708) the generated QR code as the current authentication mechanism for accessing the device. Contemporaneously with the generation of the QR code, at least one QR code validity parameter is established (710) to define when access to the device can be provided to a second device that provides the correct authentication QR code along with the access request. The method includes, in response to a pre-defined trigger (712) of the QR code validity parameter: generating (704) a new authentication QR code, different from a previously generated authentication QR code; assigning (708) the new authentication QR code as the current authentication mechanism for accessing the device; and enabling access to the first device to only second devices that provide the current authentication QR code.
