  • Patent number: 9733973
Abstract: A virtualized computing system including software sensors captures network data from one or more traffic flows the sensors. The captured network data from a given sensor indicates one or more traffic flows detected by the given sensor. The received captured network data is analyzed to identify, for each respective sensor, a first group of sensors, a second group of sensors, and a third group of sensors. All traffic flows observed by the first group of sensors are also observed by the second group of sensors. All traffic flows observed by the second group of sensors are also observed by the third group of sensors. A location of each respective sensor relative to other sensors within the virtualized computing system is determined based upon whether the respective sensor belongs to the first group of sensors, the second group of sensors, or the third group of sensors.

  • Patent number: 9732013
Abstract: Methods are provided for improving the yield of aromatics during conversion of oxygenate feeds. An oxygenate feed can contain a mixture of oxygenate compounds, including one or more compounds with a hydrogen index of less than 2, so that an effective hydrogen index of the mixture of oxygenates is between about 1.4 and 1.9. Methods are also provided for converting a mixture of oxygenates with an effective hydrogen index greater than about 1 with a pyrolysis oil co-feed. The difficulties in co-processing a pyrolysis oil can be reduced or minimized by staging the introduction of pyrolysis oil into a reaction system. This can allow varying mixtures of pyrolysis oil and methanol, or another oxygenate feed, to be introduced into a reaction system at various feed entry points.

  • Publication number: 20170230709
Abstract: Systems and processes are disclosed for controlling television user interactions using a virtual assistant. In an example process, a virtual assistant can interact with a television set-top box to control content shown on a television display. Speech input for the virtual assistant can be received from a device with a microphone. The speech input can comprise a query associated with content shown on the television display. A user intent of the query can be determined based on one or more of the content shown on the television display and a viewing history of media content. A result of the query can be caused to be displayed based on the determined user intent.

  • Publication number: 20170227982
Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) having a clock switch that switches the system clock between an internal clock and an external clock based on whether or not the IC has finished downloading device configuration at boot and on whether or not the internal clock is functional. Further restrictions on the use of the external clock are imposed by the clock switch based on a life-cycle state of the IC. The use of the clock switch makes it significantly more difficult for the clock to be tampered with, thereby protecting the security settings of the IC and/or preventing unauthorized access to secure data stored on the IC using an external-clock-based security attack.

  • Patent number: 9728848
Abstract: Devices or apparatuses for changing settings of a neutralization line are described. A radio device may include a neutralization line coupled between a first antenna and a second antenna. The neutralization line has a variable component and the first and the second antennas are electromagnetically coupled and have a first coupling value. The neutralization line is controlled by a controller. The controller is coupled to the first antenna port, the second antenna port and the neutralization line. The controller detects an environmental condition that causes the first coupling value increase to a second coupling value. The controller also adjusts a value of the variable component to change a resistance value or, a reactance value, or both of the adaptive neutralization line to achieve a third coupling value that is lower than the second coupling value.

  • Patent number: 9723591
Abstract: Independent signalling method for bearer management in a communication network with transporting bearer resource request message of both the UE and RN via Base station to managing entity of RN within EPC, as a signalling message over uplink channel referred to as ‘Union of Resource Request (UR Request)’ message. The bearer resource response message referred to as ‘Independent Admission Response (IA Response)’ from one of the management entity of EPE or management entities of UE and RN within EPC are transported as a signalling message to Evolved Packet Edge (EPE) via Base station over the downlink channel. This manages bearer setup signalling as a single loop, by transportation of ‘UR Request’ signalling message and receiving one “Independent Admission Response” signalling message over uplink and downlink channels respectively. EPE is a conglomeration of network nodes comprising of UEs, RNs and all other network nodes that communicate over EPC via Base station.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a blade for use with a rotary machine includes coupling a suction-side section of a part-span shroud to a suction-side surface of an airfoil of the blade. A first point of the airfoil suction-side surface, defined where a trailing edge of the suction-side section intersects the airfoil suction-side surface, is upstream from a second point, defined where a throat intersects the airfoil suction-side surface. A third point, defined where a leading edge of the suction-side section intersects the airfoil suction-side surface, is downstream from a fourth point, defined at a leading edge of the blade. The method also includes coupling a pressure-side section of the part-span shroud to a pressure-side surface of the airfoil. A fifth point of the airfoil pressure-side surface, defined where a trailing edge of the pressure-side section intersects the airfoil pressure-side surface, is downstream from the first point.

  • Patent number: 9720812
Abstract: A processor receives a rule containing a first set of code statements. The processor compares the first set of code statements of the rule to a second set of code statements of a plurality of code statements of source code. The processor responds to a match of the first set of code statements of the rule and the second set of code statements of the plurality of code statements of the source code, by applying a weight modifier to the rule, which adds a weighted value to the rule, and the processor, in response to a second matching of the first set of code statements of the rule to the second set of code statements of the plurality of code statements of the source code, applies the weight modifier to the rule, which includes a weighted value, and the weight modifier adjusts the weighted value of the rule.

  • Publication number: 20170213574
Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating video clips is provided herein. During operation, a processing device will receive multiple video feeds from multiple video sources. In order to reduce the difficulty in producing multiple clips from the multiple video sources, thumbnails of the captured content is displayed and one-click selection of start and stop points of each clip is allowed. An operator can then pick an annotation (metadata) from events in the game or enter a new one and apply it to any or all of the video clips. Suggested content is then displayed based on the metadata of this annotation and can be bundled with the video clips by choosing from the list of related content. All of this content is then bundled together in the database.
