  • Publication number: 20160251255
Abstract: Alkali aluminosilicate glasses that exhibit fast ion exchange performance and having low softening points that enable the glasses to be formed into non-planar, three-dimensional shapes. The glasses contain less than about 1 mol % of boron oxide and, in some embodiments, are substantially free of B2O3. Furthermore, these glasses have excess amounts of alkali oxides relative to both Al2O3 and P2O5, in order to improve melting behavior and ion exchange performance while still achieving sufficiently low softening points to allow for formability.

  • Patent number: 9432851
Abstract: A method and system of bearer management signalling in a communication network comprising of transporting bearer resource request message of both the UE and RN via DeNB to managing entity of UE within EPC, as a signalling message over uplink channel referred to as ‘Union of Resource Request’ message. The bearer resource response message from one of the managing entity of UE or managing entities of UE and RN within EPC are transported as a signalling message to Evolved Packet Edge (EPE) via DeNB over the downlink channel referred to as ‘Union of Admission Response’. This manages bearer setup signalling as a single loop, by transportation of ‘UR Request’ signalling message and receiving one ‘UA Response’ signalling message over uplink and downlink channels respectively.

  • Patent number: 9430608
Abstract: Computer implemented techniques are disclosed for fixing signal hold-time violations in semiconductor chips. Analysis includes estimation of hold-time requirements using ideal clocks. Allocation of placement regions within the design and near the macro circuits allows for later placement and wiring use during layout hold-time fixing. The placement region sizes are based on estimates of the needed buffers. Nets, within the design for detail routing, are ordered such that nets with hold-time violations are wired later, thus fixing hold-time violations without scaling or adding further buffers. Hold times are re-evaluated once wiring of track routes is complete.

  • Patent number: 9421869
Abstract: This disclosure describes a power unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that may generate a current from a magnetic field of an overhead power line. In various implementations, while the power UAV is flying, the power UAV may receive another UAV at a platform. A control element of the power UAV may generate signals to cause the power UAV to fly to a location of a conductor of the power line. The control element may also determine a position of the secondary coil with respect to the power line and generate control signals to adjust the position of the secondary coil based on the determined position of the secondary coil, a determined safety distance, and/or a determined threshold distance for efficient current generation. A shielding substrate may also be provided to shield electronics of the power UAV or other UAVs from magnetic fields.

  • Patent number: 9424541
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention enable policy-based management of a user contacts list. Applications of the present invention are its use in embodiments of Instant Messaging (IM) systems. During an IM session, a session owner may temporarily add a contact to an active contacts list for a duration determined by evaluating constraints from one or more policies associated with the contact. At IM session initialization, a session owner's persistently stored contacts and their associated policies are retrieved, and the policies are evaluated. An active contacts list for use during the IM session is generated from a subset of stored contacts for which all associated policy constraints are satisfied. In embodiments, the active contacts list may be updated during a session by re-evaluating the stored contacts and associated policies. In embodiments, an active contacts list is updated after addition of a new contact determined to have an associated enabled policy satisfied.
