  • Publication number: 20150186404
Abstract: The technique relates to a system and method for selecting dynamic workflow to process file data. This technique facilitates to process file data and business rules simultaneously and thus saves a lot of time. The technique involves receiving a request from File Pattern Recognition Engine (FPRE) to select rules for processing file data by Data Rule Engine (DRE) and to select business rules to be applied on the data by the Business Metrics Engine (BME). After that, DRE and BME select the possible set of rules and send the acknowledgement to FPRE. Thereafter, FPRE sends the signal to proceed to DRE and BME, and after receiving the signal DRE and BME apply at least one of the possible set of rules selected earlier.

  • Publication number: 20150188546
Abstract: A hybrid counter generates a multi-bit hybrid counter value. The hybrid counter includes two or more asynchronous counters, each configured to generate a subset of the bits of the multi-bit hybrid counter value. The asynchronous counters are interconnected by a logic gate and a clock gating circuit. The logic gate generates an asynchronous logic value based on the bits generated by the previous asynchronous counters. The clock gating circuit re-times the asynchronous logic value to generate a synchronous logic value that is used to toggle the next asynchronous counter. The hybrid counter functions more accurately than conventional asynchronous counters and with less power than conventional synchronous counters.

  • Patent number: 9068109
Abstract: A method for the encapsulation and triggered-release of water-soluble or water-dispersible materials. The method comprises a) providing an amount of electrolyte having a charge, b) providing an amount of counterion having a valence of at least 2, c) combining the polyelectrolyte and the counterion in a solution such that the polyelectrolyte self-assembles to form aggregates, d) adding a compound to be encapsulated, and e) adding nanoparticles to the solution such that nanoparticles arrange themselves around the aggregates. Release of the encapsulated species is triggered by disassembly or deformation of the microcapsules though disruption of the charge interactions. This method is specifically useful for the controlled viscosity reduction of the fracturing fluids commonly utilized in the oil field.

  • Patent number: 9071370
Abstract: In a video delivery context, collection and analysis of viewing data can provide insight into viewer interaction with video and the Internet. The viewing data can be transmitted in a controlled manner to a data repository. The system can selectively target specific viewers/households to obtain viewing data, which can be combined with demographics, anonymized, and encrypted. Embodiments enable precision selection of media opportunities, by determining detailed characteristics associated with broadcasts including movement of audiences and specific viewer behavior, such as visits to websites on the Internet. The effective yield of broadcasts, including promotional spots and advertisements, can be determined and predicted based on concrete data at a level of detail down to individual viewers. Accordingly, embodiments enable improvement of the effectiveness and return on investment for programming, promotional spots, and advertisements.

  • Publication number: 20150174549
Abstract: A simple and versatile coaxial turbulent jet mixer can synthesize a range of nanoparticles at high throughput, while maintaining the advantages of homogeneity, reproducibility, and tunability that are normally accessible only in specialized microscale mixing devices. Rapid mixing down to a timescale of 7 ms can be achieved by controlling the Reynolds number, providing homogeneous and controllable environments for formation of nanoparticles, for example, by precipitation. The device fabrication does not require specialized machining, making it accessible for a wide range of biomedical laboratories.
