  • Publication number: 20150152343
Abstract: Methods are provided for improving the yield of distillate products from hydroprocessing of gas oil feedstocks, such as vacuum gas oils. It has been unexpectedly found that stripping of gases or fractionation to separate out a distillate fraction during initial hydrotreatment of a feed can provide a substantial increase in distillate yield at a desired amount of feedstock conversion. The improvement in yield of distillate products can allow a desired level of conversion to be performed on a feedstock for generating lubricating base oil products while reducing or minimizing the amount of naphtha (or lower) boiling range products. Alternatively, the improvement in yield of distillate products can correspond to an improved yield during a single pass through a reaction system, so that distillate yield is increased even though a lubricant boiling range product is not generated.

  • Publication number: 20150155998
Abstract: An AP including a MAC module to designate a predetermined time period to communicate with a plurality of client stations associated with the AP via a channel. The MAC module instructs remaining client stations associated with the AP to not transmit data during the predetermined time period. The MAC module receives, during the predetermined time period, data transmitted by the plurality of client stations without sensing the channel, and receives, at a time other than the predetermined time period, data transmitted by the remaining client stations by sensing the channel. An acknowledgment generating module generates acknowledgements in response to receiving data from the plurality of client stations. The MAC module aggregates the acknowledgements in a single aggregated frame, which includes a plurality of sub-frames, each sub-frame including one of the acknowledgements. The MAC module transmits the single aggregated frame to the plurality of client stations during the predetermined time period.

  • Patent number: 9049072
Abstract: Systems and methods for removing a DC offset from an orthogonal frequency division multiplexed (OFDM) signal transmitted over a plurality of subcarrier frequencies. The system includes a receiver. The system further includes a high pass DC component filter configured to reduce a DC component of the orthogonal frequency division multiplexed signal, the high pass DC component filter shaping noise in the orthogonal frequency division multiplexed signal which results in a non-uniform power spectral density of the noise across the plurality of subcarrier frequencies. The system further includes a noise whitener configured to compensate for the noise shaping by the high pass DC component filter by normalizing the non-uniform power spectral density of the noise across the plurality of subcarrier frequencies.

  • Publication number: 20150149148
Abstract: Log files include log file content, some of which (especially a non-runtime portion) is in human-readable language. Translation of log file content is accomplished by: (i) generating first log content in a first human-readable language using a first resource bundle related to data translation; and (ii) translating the first log content to second log content, which corresponds to the first log content but is in a second human-readable language, using the first resource bundle. The translated log content may have annotations and/or processing rules applied to it. The translation of the present invention can help to keep the translation accurate and uniform so that the translated log content may be more effectively used in various ways.

  • Publication number: 20150137952
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for resolving values of parameters of tags. A map is created which includes the number of times each parameter is referenced by the tags in a web page requested by a client device. The parameters in the map are then sorted in a list in descending order based on the number of times referenced by the tags. The value for the parameter listed at the top of the list is looked up. If the value cannot be located, then those tags that are associated with this parameter are added to a list of tags to be ignored. By ignoring such tags in this list, the resolving of tag values for tags to be syndicated can occur more quickly and efficiently, including syndicating the tag data before the web page is completely loaded.

  • Publication number: 20150143182
Abstract: Techniques for writing logging files, where the logging files include multiple pieces of logging information. The pieces of logging information are based on operation of a computer system. The writing of the logging information includes the following steps (not necessarily in the following order): (i) choosing a set of logging rules; which logging rules determine the selection of which pieces of operational information relating to the computer system will be written to a non-volatile log file; (ii) operating the computer system; (iii) during operation of the computer system, collecting a first set of pieces of operational information; (iv) saving the first set of pieces of operational information to a volatile buffer memory; and (v) writing only a first sub-set of the first set of pieces of operational information to a first log file.
