  • Publication number: 20140159475
Abstract: An electromechanical brake power assist unit of a vehicle braking system has a master brake cylinder with a piston rod, displaceable by a brake pedal and, in the process, building up brake pressure. The piston rod is also displaceable by an electric motor. The piston rod is supported on a pedal lever, which is formed by the brake pedal itself or an intermediate element pivotable about an axis of rotation by the brake pedal. The piston rod is displaced by a pivotal movement of the pedal lever. An axis of rotation of the pedal lever is displaceable by the electric motor in a moving direction of the piston rod.

  • Publication number: 20140035351
Abstract: A wheel bearing assembly of a vehicle is provided. A hub is mounted via a roller bearing arrangement in a wheel carrier. The hub has a driving flange with a bearing surface which is perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the wheel, optionally with the intermediate positioning of a brake disk, such that the bearing surface of the driving flange describes a plane that intersects the roller bearing arrangement. The hub forms or supports an inner ring of the roller bearing arrangement, and an outer ring of the roller bearing assembly is held in the wheel carrier. A support structure for the driving flange is guided around the roller bearing arrangement on the outside of the wheel bearing assembly, facing away from the vehicle body and wheel carrier. As a result, a wheel insertion depth in the order of zero or a few millimeters may be achieved.

  • Patent number: 8365879
Abstract: A brake actuating device has an actuator functionally connected between a piston and a brake pedal lever. The actuator is capable of varying the path length of a force-conducting connection between the brake pedal lever and the piston of the brake cylinder via a displaceable element. A spring element acts on the brake pedal lever. The spring force varies during the variation of the path length such that a sum of the spring force and a force acting on the brake pedal lever from the brake cylinder remains essentially unchanged. The spring element is fastened with one end to the displaceable element and with the other end to the brake pedal lever with the interposition of a tensioning mechanism, which is guided by a cam track provided on the brake pedal lever.

  • Publication number: 20120074041
Abstract: Methods and apparatus relate to treating hydrocarbons recovered with steam condensate from a formation. The treating removes particulates from the hydrocarbons by addition of a flocculant to produced fluids containing the hydrocarbons and an aqueous phase with the condensate. The flocculant causes the particulates suspended in the hydrocarbons to agglomerate and be transferred to the aqueous phase, which is then separated from the hydrocarbons.
