  • Publication number: 20160044545
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) improves wireless communication when the UE returns or attempts to return to a first radio access technology (RAT) from a second RAT after a circuit switched fall back (CSFB) call failure due to a radio resource control (RRC) connection failure. In one instance, the UE successfully redirects to the second RAT from a first RAT. The UE then determines that the circuit switched fall back call on the second RAT failed. In response to the determination of the failure, the UE waits for a predetermined amount of time for second RAT re-paging or a user re-initiating the circuit switched call. The UE then performs fast return to the first RAT after the predetermined amount of time expires or in response to a user input.

  • Patent number: 9149578
Abstract: A cartridge with injection needles for an injection device. The cartridge includes a plurality of injection needle assemblies, each including a hub, mounted to be shiftable in cavities of a needle assembly support. A hub ledge having a drive member engageable push surface projects within a gap between a first hub portion and a second hub portion. Driving engagement of the push surface by an injection device drive member shifts the needle assembly from a retracted position to an injection position, during which shifting the second hub portion moves relative to the first hub portion. A pull surface on the second hub portion is engagable with the drive member for lifting the needle assembly from the injection position.

  • Publication number: 20150045741
Abstract: A medication cartridge plunger including a sealing member, which is formed of a resilient material, and a force distributing member, which is attached to sealing member and formed of a material more rigid than the resilient material. The force distributing member is shaped complementary with the sealing member to distribute to the sealing member a medication expelling force that may be applied to the force distributing member by an external drive element to drive the plunger forward. The force distributing member includes a radial periphery fit within a hollow of the sealing member. The radial periphery has a plurality of apex regions connected by spanning regions, which apex regions are disposed along a common circle centered on an axial center of the medication cartridge plunger. • Patent number: 8900065
Abstract: A unique quiet reliable golf club capable of driving a golf ball varying distances utilizing a case-less propellant formulation, fired electronically without swinging the club. The golf club contains multiple loads of case-less propellant formulation in a shaft magazine capable of playing an entire game of golf without reloading. The striker piston and cylinder are disposed within the golf club head casting that contains a silencing chamber to lower the db output level. The striker piston is propelled outward by a high pressure case-less propellant gas injected into a vortex generator, located at the breech end of the cylinder. The vortex generator disperses the gas according to a desired distance setting of a ball travel distance scale. The one piece striker piston is sealed with a piston ring and is movable on a hard-coat cylinder-bearing surface that eliminates lubrication.

  • Patent number: 8657192
Abstract: A magnetic stripe reader assembly for a point of sale terminal is provided. The magnetic stripe reader reads the account data from a card and may encrypt it within the magnetic head. An encrypted representation of the account data may be provided to a host processor in the terminal for carrying out a financial transaction, such as a payment for goods or services. The account data is typically recorded on the magnetic stripe on the card in a magnetic flux pattern that is sensed and then converted to an analog signal. Such sensing and conversion and other processing of the account data to produce the encrypted representation of the account data typically involves one or more parameters, and may include at least one parameter that is adjustable.
