  • Publication number: 20020086751
Abstract: A drive belt of an internal combustion engine has a first pulley mounted on a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine, and a second pulley mounted on a shaft of a starter generator of the internal combustion engine. A belt is looped about both pulleys. A tensioner includes two tensioning arms, each of which loading a belt run of the belt and operating either as load-carrying belt run or non-load carrying belt run. Both tensioning arms are disposed to pivot about a rotation axis, with tensioning rollers mounted onto the tensioning arms and spring-biased against the belt. The tensioning arm disposed respectively upon the load-carrying belt run is urged into a stop position by a force applied by the belt.

  • Patent number: 6286610
Abstract: The inventive percussion and/or drill hammer (10) consists essentially of a hammer housing (12) which surrounds a rotor for a percussive tool (11), including the drive mechanism and the holding element, and an outer shell (14) which encompasses the hammer housing (12) at a distance. Said outer shell (14) is connected elastically to the hammer housing (12) at selected coupling points and is connected to a first handle (16) at the end facing away from percussive tool (11) in the direction of impact of said percussive tool (11). The outer shell (14) extends as far as or at least almost as far as the percussive tool (11) where it is provided or can be provided with a second handle (17), said percussive tool projecting out of the hammer housing (12).

  • Patent number: 6237700
Abstract: The invention relates to a pneumatic impact mechanism for a paving breaker and/or hammer drill which is characterized by a drive piston (1) having air equalization slits (5) and an extremely reduced wall thickness of the guide sleeve (1a) thereof This leads to a distinct reduction of the vibrations during the no-load operation of the impact mechanism, whereby advantageous characteristics of the impact mechanism with regard to wear behavior and compactness can be retained.

  • Patent number: 6148930
Abstract: A percussion drill and/or jack hammer has a handle that is spring-buffered against the hammer housing which has at least one straight guiding track running parallel to the longitudinal axis of the hammer. The handle can be moved to a limited extent along the guiding track in relation to the hammer housing and is spring-buffered in such a way that its movement against the guiding track is limited on all sides.

  • Patent number: 6076616
Abstract: A tool having an operating element that is driven by an integrated power drive for the percussive, pounding or vibratory loading of a material to be worked, in particular a tamper, a vibration plate or a vibration roll for ground compaction or a hammer for breaking and/or drilling operations, can be guided using a handle. This handle is actively vibration-damped by at least one actively controlled or regulated compensation element, which counteracts the transmission of a vibration to the handle and which, depending on the vibration that can be transmitted to it and is produced in and/or on the tool, produces a compensating force and/or movement in the potential vibration transmission path from the location of production of the vibration to the handle.

  • Patent number: 5343293
Abstract: An ellipsometer, used in particular for measuring the thickness of oxide films on silicon wafers inside an oven, comprising an analyzer unit (3), a beam deflection device, a paddle and a ploarizer unit (2). In order to increase the measurement precision, the ellipsometer is designed so that the beam deflection device comprises two prisms (6, 9), the prisms (6,9), the analyzer unit (3) and the polarizer unit (2) are mounted on the paddle (11), and two tubes (4, 10) are provided for guiding the beam from the polarizer unit (2) to the first prism (6) and from the second prism (9) to the analyzer unit (3) .

  • Patent number: 4257728
Abstract: A rotary drum storage tank for receiving and conveying garbage includes a rear cover for the tank with a helical baffle protruding into the storage tank and which acts as a pressing screw which pushes the material which is dumped into the tank backwardly into the rear thereof. The baffle acts in conjunction with a plurality of strikers arranged on the inner wall of the rotary drum storage tank and which rotate with the tank to force the material into the storage space. The drum is mounted on annular ball bearings which are secured on a bolt which is mounted on a box girder or closed frame girder having a central opening therethrough which accommodates the bearings.

  • Patent number: 4211164
Abstract: A rotary drum-type collecting vessel for receiving and transporting refuse or other bulk material, comprises, a hollow rotary collecting drum having an inside wall, and includes an opening at one end which is covered by a cover plate which covers the opening and has a frusto conical interior surface which projects into the collecting drum. The frusto conical surface terminates in a frustum plane within the drum. It includes a lower portion with a charge opening and it carries a spirally extending feed blade on its surface with pushing elements in the form of ribs defined therealong and rotating therewith so as to force bulk material in an action, such as by a raking worm, into the collecting drum. The material is also pressed therein by an action such that by a thrust worm in a zone between the inside wall of the rotary drum and the frustum plane.
