Each of the power cells of a first slice may have an output that is phase rotated with respect to a correspondingly positioned power cell of a second slice.

Abstract: The invention relates to a genetically engineered bacterium comprising an energy-generating fermentation pathway and methods related thereto. In particular, the invention provides a bacterium comprising a phosphate butyryltransferase (Ptb) and a butyrate kinase (Buk) (Ptb-Buk) that act on non-native substrates to produce a wide variety of products and intermediates. In certain embodiments, the invention relates to the introduction of Ptb-Buk into a C1-fixing microoorgansim capable of producing products from a gaseous substrate.

Abstract: Consumers that are interested in renting properties can gather all of the information and documents necessary to provide to a property owner in order to rent a given property, prior to the viewing a particular property. The implementation of a system could be such that consumers could send this gathered information and documents to property managers prior to viewing a property as well as once the property has been viewed. By providing property managers with information prior to viewings of the property, the system allows property managers to pre-screen tenants. By providing property managers with information following viewings of properties, the system allows property managers to receive expedited information to process and provide approval or rejection of a consumer.

Abstract: Technologies are described herein for providing users of a messaging application with controls that perform one or more selected actions with a message. A request to create a new custom action control is received. In response, a graphical user interface (“GUI”) is provided comprising a plurality of action options corresponding to actions to be taken with respect to a designated active message upon selection of the new custom action control. A selection of one of a plurality of action options indicated in the GUI is received. The new custom action control is associated with the selected action option from the GUI such that a subsequent selection of the new custom action control initiates at least one action option. The new custom action control is saved to a network server configured to provide the new custom action control to one or more instances of a messaging application.

Abstract: An air bleed system for a jet engine is provided. The air bleed system is located in the low pressure compressor chamber and comprises a movable bleed valve and a stationary, annular bleed case having a forward section and an aft section and ligaments connecting the two sections and providing structural support to the bleed case. The ligaments are machined from the bleed case into an aerodynamic shape that maximizes the flow of air through the bleed ports.

Abstract: An online system determines a frequency with which its users delete information stored in a browser on client devices associated with each user. When a user accesses the online system, the online system determines a user identifier associated with the user and determines if one or more conditions are satisfied based on information received from a browser used to access the online system. If a condition is satisfied, the online system communicates an instruction to the browser to communicate information associated with a third party and the user identifier to the third party. Information previously stored in the browser and associated with the user identifier is compared to information associated with the user identifier received from the browser. Deletion of information stored in the browser is determined when stored information associated with the user identifier differs from received information associated with the user identifier.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a power cell chamber for a drive system includes moveable and fixed portions. The moveable portion includes a rectifier stage to rectify an input signal received from a secondary winding of a transformer to provide a rectified signal and an inverter stage having a plurality of switching devices to receive a DC signal and output an AC signal. This moveable portion can be slidably adapted within a cabinet of the drive system. In turn, the fixed portion includes a DC link having at least one capacitor to receive the rectified signal and provide the DC signal to the inverter stage.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, at a computing device comprising a processor, a request to determine bicliques in a graph, where the graph includes a first set of nodes, a second set of nodes, and a set of edges, each edge in the set of edges connecting a node in the first set of nodes to a node in the second set of nodes. The method also includes determining at least one biclique based on querying a bitmap index representing the graph, where the bitmap index includes a plurality of bit strings corresponding to the first set of nodes, and where a value stored in a particular location in each bit string indicates whether an edge connects a first node corresponding to the bit string to a second node corresponding to the particular location.

Abstract: Techniques for electronic records management. Electronic records are stored in databases, each having a different data model and classification scheme. The electronic records created in source systems are indexed with the index having a pointer to each electronic record in the source systems. The index is updated with changes to electronic records. The document management agent applies retention rules and tracks electronic records against the appropriate retention schedule. Records that are scheduled to be dispositioned are dispositioned, and when the disposition is appropriate, the document management agent also invokes deletion or exportation of the corresponding electronic records.

Abstract: A system and method for incorporating occupancy-detecting technology into furniture is provided. More particularly, the invention relates to detecting occupancy in a recliner using a sinuous wire detection array incorporated into a seat. Further embodiments of the invention are directed to a system and method for incorporating capacitance detection technology with one or more conductive features of a recliner mechanism. In some aspects, a sensor is provided based on coupling one or more conductive features to a control component of the capacitance detector control component. A controller may determine the corresponding response based on occupancy detection and/or presence detection. A processor may receive information regarding changes in capacitance and determines when a change in voltage satisfies a threshold. Based on a determination of occupancy and/or presence, a variety of corresponding features of the adjustable recliner may be activated.

Any number of default custom action controls may be displayed in a gallery. The selection of a custom action control performs various actions to an active message. Dialogs provide user-friendly interfaces that allow a user to assign the desired functionality to a custom action control. The custom action controls may be organized into groups and shared between messaging applications and computers.

Abstract: The invention relates to systems and methods of operating a wireless network including allocating and assigning frequency channels using a dynamic and distributed process. For example, a network node in an ad hoc wireless network will assign frequency channels to one or more of its transceivers based on at least one of a list of allowed frequency channels and a neighbor-frequency channel list.

Abstract: A system and method for incorporating presence-sensing technology into furniture is provided. More particularly, the invention relates to detecting presence using a metal, adjustable bed frame. The bed frame is pulsed with a voltage to provide a charge, against which capacitance is measured. A controller determines the corresponding response based on presence detection by the frame. Conductive bushings may also be used to measure capacitance using the bed frame. In further embodiments, capacitance is measured by a foil tape surrounding a perimeter of the adjustable bed. The foil tape has a voltage based on proximity of an object to the tape, and may be embedded with a capacitive wire. A processor receives information regarding changes in capacitance and determines when a change in voltage satisfies a threshold. Based on a determination of presence, or lack of presence, a variety of corresponding features of the adjustable bed may be activated.

Abstract: A system and method for integrating furniture accessories and generic devices with automated furniture items is provided. In embodiments, a communication protocol enables a remote device to wirelessly control a generic device wirelessly coupled to a control component of an automated furniture item. The remote device may control features of the generic device based on wireless communication with the control component. In some embodiments, the remote device receives a user environment selection, which is communicated to the control component of the automated furniture item. The automated furniture item then communicates at least a portion of the received command to a corresponding generic device, according to the settings of the selected user environment. In further embodiments, an occupancy detection indication for the automated furniture item may result in a change in one or more settings corresponding to the user environment, as communicated to the generic device(s) by the control component.
