  • Publication number: 20210067005
Abstract: A rotor assembly for an electrodynamic machine is provided. The rotor assembly comprises a lamination section and an end connector. The lamination section comprises rotor lamination sheets formed to define an annular array of axial cooling ducts mechanically supported by a plurality of radial and arched structural members that define an array of arched or angled supports to readily pass a magnetic flux via an optimal flux path. The lamination section further comprises rotor slots, with rotor conductor bars being disposed in the rotor slots. The end connector is supported by the rotor conductor bars. An axial space is formed in the lamination section by the annular array of axial cooling ducts for guiding a cooling fluid flow in an axial direction through the rotor assembly.

  • Patent number: 10868540
Abstract: Non-destructive read out (NDRO) circuits are provided for use in reciprocal quantum logic (RQL) superconducting systems. Each NDRO circuit includes a “body” circuit that provides a single or multi-state sub-critical bias current to one or many independent “tail” circuitries. Each “tail” has minimal effect on the “body” thereby preventing any interference or destruction to the state of the “body” circuitry. The circuits reduce device count and thereby increase circuit density, simplify and reduce the cost of fabrication, and provide functionality not available in existing designs, such as the ability to write a state and read it in the same operation cycle. The NDRO circuits provide more compact unit cells useful in memory or logic arrays, demanding fewer resources with increased functionality. The circuits also provide compact cells for AND, AND-OR, A-NOT-B, inverter, multiplexer, and demultiplexer gates.

  • Patent number: 10555615
Abstract: A system and method for calibrating one or more sensing features for a furniture item detection is provided. More particularly, embodiments relate to determining a first noise state associated with an environment of the furniture item based on a first measured noise received from one or more sensors associated with the furniture item. A first baseline noise level for the furniture item can be generated based on filtering the first noise state associated with the environment of the furniture item. A second noise state associated with the environment of the furniture item can be determined based on a second measured noise received from the one or more sensors associated with the furniture item. A second baseline noise level for the furniture item can be generated based on filtering the second noise state associated with the environment of the furniture item. The first baseline noise level can then be adjusted to the second baseline noise level.

  • Patent number: 10540459
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for generating a 3-dimensional (3D) model to characterize and visualize debris. The computer-implemented method includes defining a bounding surface for one or more debris fields generated by an on-orbit breakup event. The bounding surface is defined by using an upper limit fragment spreading speed predicted by a breakup model and applying the upper limit fragment spreading speed in different directions to generate points on the bounding surface. The computer-implemented method also includes connecting one or more points on the bounding surface to maintain a single bounded 3D mesh. The computer-implemented method further includes applying color and/or transparency to the 3D model.
