  • Patent number: 11356213
Abstract: Transmitters consider the size of a gap segment adjacent to at least one negatively acknowledged (NACKed) Radio Link Control (RLC) Service Data Unit (SDU) when considering when and/or how to concatenate one or more NACKed SDU segments for retransmission. Depending on which RLC SDU segment(s) is/are NACKed, e.g., considering the size of NACKed segments in relation to Protocol Data Unit (PDU) header size(s) needed, the transmitter implements a single RLC SDU retransmission or multiple RLC SDU segment retransmissions. In so doing, the solution presented herein not only defines how such transmissions occur, but also provides improved efficiency when retransmitting such NACKed SDU segments.

  • Publication number: 20210385027
Abstract: A method performed by a network node for transmission of a Packet Data Convergence Protocol, PDCP, Protocol Data Unit, PDU, to a wireless communications device is provided. The network node and the wireless communications device operate in a wireless communications network. The network node arranges (505) a number of PDCP PDUs in a numerical order based on their respective PDCP Sequence Number, SN. The number of PDCP PDUs is taken from a first set of PDCP PDUs comprising one or more first time transmitted PDCP PDUs and from a second set of PDCP PDUs comprising one or more retransmitted PDCP PDUs. The one or more first time transmitted PDCP PDUs and the one or more retransmitted PDCP PDUs are received from a controlling node. The network node transmits (506) the number of the PDCP PDUs in the numerical order to the wireless communications device 120.

  • Publication number: 20210315031
Abstract: A method and device for managing establishment of a communications link between an external instrument (EI) and an implantable medical device (IMD) are provided. The method stores, in a memory in at least one of the IMD or the EI, a base scanning schedule that defines a pattern for scanning windows over a scanning state. The method enters the scanning state during which a receiver scans for advertisement notices during the scanning windows. At least a portion of the scanning windows are grouped in a first segment of the scanning state. The method stores, in the memory, a scan reset pattern for restarting the scanning state. Further, the method automatically restarts the scanning state based on the scan reset pattern to form a pseudo-scanning schedule that differs from the base scanning schedule and establishes a communication session between the IMD and the EI.

  • Publication number: 20210076312
Abstract: An implantable medical device (IMD) that includes a transceiver configured to broadcast an advertising data packet that includes a unique identifier, and to receive a scan request data packet from an external device. A memory stores program instructions, and stores an approved device list, and one or more processors are configured to execute the program instructions to identify a device identifier (ID) from the scan request data packet received, apply an advertising filter to determine if the scan request data packet is from an authorized external device based on the device ID and the approved device list, based on the determination by the advertising filter, deny transmission of a scan response data packet from the transceiver when the advertising filter determines that the scan request data packet is from an unauthorized external device, and establish a communication session with an authorized external device independent of the scan request data packet.

  • Publication number: 20210037728
Abstract: A drip emitter is provided for delivering irrigation water from a supply tube to an emitter outlet at a reduced and relatively constant flow rate. Water enters the emitter through a first inlet and proceeds into a first chamber. When the water pressure is above a predetermined level, a one-directional valve opens to allow fluid flow past the first chamber, through a tortuous path flow channel, and through an emitter outlet. A second inlet is used to compensate for water pressure fluctuations in the supply tube to maintain output flow at a relatively constant rate. Water enters the second inlet and presses a flexible diaphragm toward a water metering surface to provide pressure-dependent control of the output flow. A copper member is mounted to the emitter over the emitter outlet to prevent plant root intrusion into the emitter outlet.
