  • Patent number: 10440903
Abstract: An irrigation emitter and drip line, and methods relating to same, are provided for reducing the flow and pressure of fluid via an emitter or plurality of emitters defined by two concentric tubes. In one form, the first tube defines an emitter inlet and connected pressure-reducing flow channel and the second tube is extruded over the first tube to enclose the emitter inlet and flow channel and defines an outlet connected to an end of the flow channel opposite the inlet to create an emitter for converting fluid flowing at a high flow rate in the lumen and at the first end of the inlet to a fluid with a low flow rate at the outlet of the emitter. In another form, a drip line is provided having a plurality of such emitters. The emitters capable of being provided with pressure compensation structures to compensate or account for fluctuations in supply line fluid pressure and root growth inhibiting members. Various methods related to the emitter and drip line are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20190268353
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses prevent malicious network traffic from accessing or being transmitted to trusted network resources in a network environment. In one embodiment, a management microservice initializes a security microservice on a computing device and configures a network interface as a secure channel for communications with the security microservice. When the management microservice authenticates the network interface, the management microservice enables a data channel interface for the security microservice, allowing the security microservice to receive network traffic from other security microservices. Prior to enabling the data channel interface, the security microservice does not have an active interface with any other security microservices, which prevents any traffic, including malicious network traffic from reaching areas of the security microservice during the initialization process.

  • Patent number: 10285342
Abstract: An irrigation drip emitter, and methods relating to same, are provided for delivering irrigation water from a supply tube to an emitter outlet at a reduced and relatively constant flow rate. The emitter having at least one moveable member for compensating for fluctuations in supply line fluid pressure. In one form the emitter further includes a root growth inhibiting member for hindering roots from obstructing fluid flow through the emitter. In another form, the emitter includes an inlet protrusion so that fluid entering the emitter comes from a position closer to the central or center portion of the conduit in order to avoid larger obstructions that may be located near the periphery of the conduit. In another form, the emitter includes a carrier for assisting in mounting the emitter into conduit. In another form, more than one of the above features are present.

  • Patent number: 9996690
Abstract: In an example, a computing device includes a trusted execution environment (TEE), including an enclave. The enclave may include both a binary translation engine (BTE) and an input verification engine (IVE). In one embodiment, the IVE receives a trusted binary as an input, and analyzes the trusted binary to identify functions, classes, and variables that perform input/output operations. To ensure the security of these interfaces, those operations may be performed within the enclave. The IVE tags the trusted binary and provides the binary to the BTE. The BTE then translates the trusted binary into a second format, including designating the tagged portion for execution within the enclave. The BTE may also sign the new binary in the second format and export it out of the enclave.

  • Publication number: 20180146391
Abstract: A method and poll control entity (300) for controlling a polling procedure in a radio communication where a data transmitting node (302) transmits data (3:1) to a data receiving node (304) and sends polls to the data receiving node according to a default polling frequency. The polls require the data receiving node to send feedback (3:2) to the data transmitting node indicating whether said data has been received and decoded by the data receiving node or not. The poll control entity detects (3:3a-c) a trigger of the radio communication indicating a deviation of a feedback time which is a time period between a time of sending the poll and a time of receiving the feedback from an expected feedback time range. The poll control entity then adjusts (3:4) the polling frequency based on the detected trigger such that the deviation of the feedback time is reduced, and enforces (3:5) the adjusted polling frequency at the data transmitting node.

  • Publication number: 20180118338
Abstract: Apparatus, methods and systems to associate a flight plan of an unmanned aerial vehicle (e.g., a drone) with a cryptographic signature are disclosed herein. Some disclosed examples include one or more non-transitory computer-readable media including computer-executable instructions. The computer readable instructions, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to compare a flight path over a geographic area of an unmanned aerial vehicle to a geographically identified no-fly zone. The flight path is included in a flight plan. The instructions also cause the vehicle to determine whether the flight path enters the geographically identified no-fly zone, and based on whether the flight path is determined to enter the geographically identified no-fly zone, associate the flight plan with a cryptographic signature.

  • Publication number: 20180078777
Abstract: A method and device for managing establishment of a communications link between an external instrument (EI) and an implantable medical device (IMD) are provided. The method stores, in a memory in at least one of the IMD or the EI, a base scanning schedule that defines a pattern for scanning windows over a scanning state. The method enters the scanning state during which a receiver scans for advertisement notices during the scanning windows. At least a portion of the scanning windows are grouped in a first segment of the scanning state. The method stores, in the memory, a scan reset pattern for restarting the scanning state. Further, the method automatically restarts the scanning state based on the scan reset pattern to form a pseudo-scanning schedule that differs from the base scanning schedule and establishes a communication session between the IMD and the EI.

  • Publication number: 20180027512
Abstract: The present disclosure concerns radio communication. In one of its aspects, this disclosure presents a method of assisting a receiving side PDCP entity of a network to facilitate its handling of a HFN de-synchronization incident. The method is performed by an apparatus such as a UE and comprises: while a RRC connection is in progress; detecting (120), e.g. by means of a transmitting side PDCP entity of the UE, a condition indicative of the transmitting side PDCP entity experiencing a HFN de-synchronization or a risk of HFN de-synchronization; and in response thereto maintaining (130) the RRC connection and concurrently sending a control message to the receiving side PDCP entity, the control message comprising information that the RRC connection is lasting and, thus, unbroken as well as information that the transmitting side PDCP entity is experiencing the HFN de-synchronization or the risk of HFN de-synchronization.
