    Abstract: A catalyst for the disproportionation/transalkylation of various hydrocarbons consists of a carrier and a metal component supported on the carrier. The carrier comprises 10 to 80 wt % of mordenite and/or beta type zeolite with a mole ratio of silica/alumina ranging from 10 to 200; 0 to 70 wt % of ZSM-5 type zeolite with a mole ratio of silica/alumina ranging from 30 to 500; and 5 to 90 wt % of at least one inorganic binder selected from the group consisting of gamma-alumina, silica, silica alumina, bentonite, kaolin, clinoptilolite, and montmorillonite. The metal component comprises platinum and either tin or lead. The catalyst enables mixed xylenes to be produced at remarkably high yields from benzene, toluene and C9 or higher aromatic compounds through disproportionation/transalkylation with a great reduction in aromatic loss. In addition, the catalyst can maintain its catalytic activity for a long period of time without deactivation.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of installing a device driver capable of driving a peripheral device installed in an slot of a PC after receiving the device driver from a server located in a global network. When a PC card device including a memory in which both a network address of a server providing the device's driver and information identifying the device driver have been stored is inserted into a slot, network address and the device driver identifying information is read from the memory. Using this information, a request of a download of the device driver from the server with reference to the read-out information is made. The PC then receives the device driver downloaded from the server, and executes the received device driver to enable the peripheral device. With this method, no floppy disk need be supplied with the driver and the URL information is continued in the device, eliminating installation and updating steps by the user.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a system for providing a chat service, which enables a user of a mobile terminal to search for another user meeting some specified requisites for a chat partner and to virtually talk with him/her, the system including: a mobile communication system being in radio communication with the mobile terminal; a chat server connected to a network for providing the chat service; and a radio operator gateway for switching different data and protocols between the mobile communication system and the network. The chat server includes personal information and requisite information of at least one member. Upon a request of the user of the mobile terminal for the chat service, the system searches for a member meeting the requisites of the user for a chat partner based on the personal information of the individual members, compares the requisite information of the user with that of the searched member to select a chat partner and enables the user to virtually talk with the selected chat partner.

    Abstract: A multi-stage door opening device. This device reliably retains the door as it was opened at a desired opening angle and generates no operational noise in opening and closing motions of the door and lengthens the using life. An arm is hinged to a car body and comprises a steel core totally coated with a high strength engineering plastic material. This arm is partially thinned in order to provide a plurality of locking portions. A hinge pin hole of the arm has a synthetic resin bushing placed beside the steel core. A stopper is engaged with a notched fixing portion of the arm for limiting a full door opening position. A locking unit is slidably penetrated by the arm and locked to one of the locking portions of the arm. A locking body of the locking unit receives a pair of roller units slidably contacting with the arm.
