  • Patent number: 6683438
Abstract: Disclosed is a contactless battery charger that avoids contact failure between a battery pack and the battery charger including a converter and a charging unit. A converter includes a primary side of a printed circuit board (PCB) transformer. The converter converts a commercial electric power to a high-frequency square wave, applies the converted high-frequency square wave to the primary side of the PCB transformer, and controls generation of a charge current depending on charge state information provided. A charging unit includes a secondary side of the PCB transformer. The charging unit converts to a DC voltage an electromotive force induced at the secondary side of the PCB transformer by a magnetic field generated by the square wave applied to the primary side of the PCB transformer, charges a rechargeable battery with the DC voltage, and provides the charge state information to the converter.

  • Publication number: 20030228666
Abstract: The present invention relates to novel human thrombopoietin (; hTPO) derivatives, and to process of preparation thereof. Particularly, sugar chains are introduced into native hTPO by substituting amino acids such as asparagine for amino acids at specific positions in native hTPO, preparing novel hTPO derivatives with high activities enhancing the platelet production in vivo. Therefore, the novel hTPO derivatives of this invention may be useful for the treatment of thrombocytopenia associated with anticancer therapy or the transplantation of bone marrow.

  • Patent number: 6656999
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of preparing a synthetic rubber latex having a large particle size, showing good stability and reducing coagulum during polymerization, which comprises (a) pretreating a seed synthetic rubber latex by mixing the seed synthetic rubber latex with deionized water and a small amount of an emulsifier and stirring, (b) preparing an agglomerating latex with a pH value of about 5.0˜8.0 by mixing a copolymer latex containing unsaturated acid having from about 10 to about 50% by weight of solid content with deionized water and a pH controlling agent, and (c) adding the pretreated seed synthetic rubber latex of step (a) to the agglomerating latex of step (b). The step (c) may be carried out by adding the pretreated seed synthetic rubber latex dropwisely to the agglomerating latex containing unsaturated acid for about 30 minutes to about 1 hour.

  • Publication number: 20030195882
Abstract: A homepage searching method uses a similarity recalculation based on a URL substring relationship. An entry point of a homepage is searched among a plurality of web documents belonging to the homepage by using their substring relationships. The technical essence lies in that the present invention uses a principle that if a URL of a certain web document is a substring of a URL of another web document, the former is more likely to be an entry point of a homepage than the latter. Thus, the present invention improves a conventional information searching method and allows a page serving as an entry point of a homepage to be searched prior to other documents. Accordingly, a user can determine whether a searched web document is a homepage or not without visiting all the URLs of the searched web documents.

  • Publication number: 20030120725
Abstract: In an apparatus for providing an one-stop service in a mobile web application server system a mobile terminal receives the OSS from the mobile web application server in order to use the OSS. A screen-processing module includes a java server page and a java sublet for an OSS generated in the form of a mobile web application server page. A service processing means generates an OSS log to process the OSS and represents a corresponding specialized site in the form of a service bean. An external service generates the mobile web application server system and performs a connection to OSS contents. An external system provides contents in accordance with certain information provided from the external service. A site providing system provides a corresponding specialized site to the service bean in the service processing means.

  • Publication number: 20020110013
Abstract: A super-thin PCB (Printed Circuit Board) transformer is manufactured by installing windings on a common PCB without using a magnetic core. A non-contact battery charger using the PCB transformer includes a converter for converting a supply voltage into a high frequency square wave and then applying the converted square wave into a first winding of the PCB transformer; and a charger for converting an electromotive force to a DC voltage to apply the converted DC voltage to a charge circuit, the electromotive force being induced to a second winding of the PCB transformer by a magnetic wave which is generated by the square wave induced in the first winding of the PCB transformer. The non-contact battery charger can be applied to portable information communication and calculation devices such as a mobile telephone, a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant Device), a palm-top, an interetphone, etc.

  • Publication number: 20020019943
Abstract: Apparatus and method for preventing reproduction/distribution of digital goods by use of physical goods uses an inherent ID given to the physical goods. A first encrypted ID and an assignable identification name are also given to the goods. A second encrypted ID is generated when the assignable identification name registered upon the purchases of digital goods coincides with an inputted identification name. The present invention transfers, upon the purchase of the digital goods, the second encrypted ID and the purchased digital goods or the second encrypted ID and encrypted digital goods generated by encrypting the purchased digital goods according to the first encryption algorithm, and extracts the first encrypted ID from the second encrypted ID upon executing the digital goods.
