  • Patent number: 11651008
Abstract: Through a first processing thread, a first database is accessed via a first API to retrieve a list of event objects of the first database. Through a second processing thread, for each of the event objects, participant identifiers (IDs) are determined from the event object. For each of the participant IDs, a domain ID is extracted from the participant ID. A list of one or more entity objects are identified based on the domain ID, where the entity objects are stored in a second database such as a task database storing and managing many tasks. At least one attribute of at least one of the entity objects is modified based of the participant ID and the domain ID, which generates a modified entity object. Through a third processing thread, any event objects that have been modified are transmitted to the second database via a second API over the network.

  • Patent number: 11652791
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for implementing an extranet policy include receiving a request from a source to perform a lookup for a destination address. A lookup for the destination address is performed in a consolidated routing table, the consolidated routing table including a consolidated mapping of address prefixes associated with two or more virtual networks. If the lookup results in a match for the destination address with a matching address prefix, a matching virtual network associated with the matching address prefix is determined. An access policy for the request corresponding to the matching virtual network is obtained, and based on the access policy the request is allowed to access the destination address in the matching virtual network or disallowed. The consolidated routing table can be implemented in a mapping server using a Locator/ID Separation Protocol (LISP).

  • Publication number: 20230138805
Abstract: Embodiments determine event, e.g., performance degradation, security breach, etc., occurrence based on telemetry data. An embodiment receives telemetry data, e.g., data based on an HTTP transaction, and a rule associated with the telemetry data. The rule defines one or more filters for processing the telemetry data. In turn, a rule engine is modified in accordance with the received rule. The received telemetry data is processed with the modified rule engine to determine event occurrence.

  • Publication number: 20230131771
Abstract: Techniques for analyzing traffic originating from a host device in a wireless network to identify one or more virtual machines (VMs) running on the host device and connected to the network via the host device in bridge mode. When a VM is created in bridge mode behind a host device, the traffic originated by the VM will have the source Media Access Layer (MAC) address of the host device. According to techniques described herein, devices and/or components associated with the network may profile the traffic to identify an address of the VM, such as by analyzing dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) packets to determine the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the VM. Once the IP address and the MAC address of the VM is known, the components and/or devices may apply security policies to the VM that may be different than security policies applied to the host device.

  • Publication number: 20230124827
Abstract: The disclosed “Live Mount In Cloud” solution enables, within a cloud computing environment that houses a desired backup copy made from a source virtual machine, immediate access to backed up data on demand without restoring the backup copy in its entirety. Live Mount In Cloud also enables the live-mounted VM to write new data, not just to read from the backup copy. Live Mount In Cloud creates multiply nested VMs within the cloud computing environment. Accordingly, the live-mounted VM runs in (is hosted by) a hypervisor nested within a cloud-native VM. Live Mount In Cloud handles any differences between formatting and configuration settings of the hypervisor hosting the live-mounted VM and the way in which the backup copy is formatted. A backup proxy VM intercepts reads and writes issued by the live-mounted VM and facilitates access to the backup copy.

  • Patent number: 11625725
Abstract: A biometric input device is used to obtain biometric data from a user. The biometric data is used to determine host card emulation (HCE) parameters that are associated with the user and are used to access a payment account. An interface device that is associated with the biometric input device receives the HCE parameters. The interface device includes a secure execution environment (SEE). A processor in the SEE decrypts and stores the HCE parameters in the memory of the SEE and executes an HCE instance. The HCE instance uses a communication interface to interact with a payment terminal using a contactless communication protocol. The interaction provides payment data to the payment terminal, which is then sent along a payment channel for processing. The HCE instance is then erased, and the SEE is then available for use by another user for another transaction using a different payment account.

  • Publication number: 20230106269
Abstract: A “backup services container” comprises “backup toolkits,” which include scripts for accessing containerized applications plus enabling utilities/environments for executing the scripts. The backup services container is added to Kubernetes pods comprising containerized applications without changing other pod containers. For maximum value and advantage, the backup services container is “over-equipped” with toolkits. The backup services container selects and applies a suitable backup toolkit to a containerized application to ready it for a pending backup. Interoperability with a proprietary data storage management system provides features that are not possible with third-party backup systems. Some embodiments include one or more components of the proprietary data storage management within the illustrative backup services container. Some embodiments include one or more components of the proprietary data storage management system in a backup services pod configured in a Kubernetes node.

  • Publication number: 20230100682
Abstract: Automated techniques for converting network devices from a Layer 2 (L2) network into a Layer 3 (L3) network in a hierarchical manner are described herein. The network devices may be configured to boot such that their ports are in an initialization mode in which the ports are unable to transmit locally generated DHCP packets. When a network device detects that a neighbor (or “peer”) device has acquired an IP address or has been configured by a network controller, then the port on which the neighbor device is detected can then be transitioned from the initialization mode into a forwarding mode. In the forwarding mode, the port can be used to transmit packets to obtain an IP address. Thus, the network devices are converted from an L2 device to an L3 device in a hierarchical order such that upstream devices are discovered and converted into L3 devices before downstream devices.

  • Patent number: 11601428
Abstract: Cloud delivered access may be provided. A network device may provide a client device with a pre-authentication virtual network and a pre-authentication address. Next, a policy may be received in response to the client device authenticating. The client device may then be moved to a post-authentication virtual network based on the policy. A post-authentication address may then be obtained for the client device in response to moving the client device to a post-authentication virtual network. Traffic for the client device may then be translated to the post-authentication address.

  • Patent number: 11601496
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques and mechanisms for providing hybrid cloud services for enterprise fabric. The techniques include enhancing an on-demand protocol (e.g., such as LISP) and allowing simplified security and/or firewall service insertion for datacenter servers providing those services. Accordingly, the techniques described herein provide hybrid cloud services that work in disaggregated, distributed, and consistent way, while avoiding complex datacenter network devices (e.g., such running overlay on TOR), replacing and moving the functionality to on demand protocol enabled servers, which intelligently receive the required mappings as well as registers and publishes the service information to intelligently interact with the network.
