  • Publication number: 20240305901
Abstract: Embodiments relate to demosaicing a raw image into a full-resolution green pixels and using high-frequency components of the full-resolution green pixels to add details into red image pixels and blue image pixels. The full-resolution green pixels are generated by interpolating green pixels in the raw image using residual weights based on correlation between green pixels and non-green pixels along different directions, and then combining the green pixel values interpolated along different directions using weights derived from gradient information. The full-resolution red and blue pixels are generated by determining weights according to the correlation of interpolated red and blue pixels relative to the full-resolution green pixels, and adding the high-frequency components of the full-resolution green pixels to the interpolated red and blue pixels.

  • Publication number: 20240305362
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, according to one embodiment, includes obtaining satellite information associated with a plurality of satellites, and using the satellite information to determine physical parameters associated with the satellites as the satellites pass over geographical areas. The method further includes determining, from data associated with a plurality of internet based resources, a future gathering event at a first geographical area in which a plurality of connection requests will be output from user devices located at a first geographical area. Furthermore, the method includes generating, based on the physical parameters and the data, assignment instructions that specify which of the satellites is to accept the plurality of connection requests from the first geographical area during the gathering event. The assignment instructions are output for preventing the connection requests from going unfulfilled during the gathering event.

  • Patent number: 12079205
Abstract: Methods for snapshot isolation query transactions in distributed systems are performed by systems and devices. Distributed executions of queries are performed in a processing system according to an isolation level protocol for data management and data versioning across one or more data sets, one or more compute pools, etc., within a logical server via a single transaction manager that oversees the isolation semantics and data versioning. Read transactions of queries are performed lock-free via the isolation semantics, and instant rollbacks, point-in-time queries, single-phase commits in the distributed systems are also provided. Abort and clean up operations are performed based on a distributed abort protocol and a determined oldest active transaction for the system in which the single transaction manager does not track read-only transactions, and client nodes do not maintain commit tables for transactions.

  • Publication number: 20240284296
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to enabling direct wireless device-to-device communication between sleepy end devices (SEDs) of a mesh (e.g., Thread®) network. A router may forward packets between end devices of the mesh network. However, if the router is not available, SEDs may not be able to communicate with each other using a mesh protocol. Embodiments presented herein enable end devices of the mesh network to communicate directly, without a router. Some embodiments are directed to changing a role of an end device to temporarily act as a router for a particular target end device. The role change may be based on a trigger event and may be temporary until a target action is performed by the target end device. In some embodiments, the end devices continue to operate as SEDs and use coordinated sampled listening techniques to communicate via the mesh protocol.

  • Patent number: 12050519
Abstract: A device receives a notification indicating a failure of a first server device responsible for a primary message queue that includes messages at a time of the failure. A second server device is responsible for a standby message queue to which the messages are replicated, where a position in the standby message queue and a message time are assigned to each of the replicated messages. The device obtains a record time that identifies the message time of one of the messages that was last obtained from the primary message queue prior to the failure, compares an adjusted record time and the message time of one or more of the messages of the standby message queue to determine a starting position in the standby message queue, and processes messages obtained from the standby message queue beginning at one of the messages assigned to the position that matches the starting position.

  • Publication number: 20240201694
Abstract: In an approach for amplifying a mission critical workload to a low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite using a booster drone, responsive to receiving a first request to amplify a mission critical workload to a LEO satellite, a processor initiates a targeted service instance. A processor obtains a level of mission criticality of the first request by mapping the first request against a registry of applications and a respective level of mission criticality of the applications. A processor selects a booster drone from a drone delivery station. A processor determines a first geo-location from where a satellite data communication needs to be initiated. A processor determines a second geo-location of the LEO satellite to where the satellite data communication needs to be pushed. A processor generates one or more signal strength requirements. A processor amplifies the mission critical workload according to the one or more generated signal strength requirements.
