  • Publication number: 20230116263
Abstract: Arrangements for using a cognitive convergence engine for resource optimization are provided. Requests for service, such as a loan, an account, or the like, may be received via different communication channels. The requests for service may be aggregated based on type of request and transferred to a cloud environment for evaluation. A request may be evaluated to determine whether it is eligible for bot processing. If so, the request may be transferred to a bot server for processing. If not, the request may be evaluated to identify a best fit resource for processing. Identifying the best fit resource may include scores computed by a plurality of computational instances or virtual machines configured to process the computations. A number of computational instances may be determined based on a volume of requests. The computational instances may then be deployed to determine a best fit resource for the first request.

  • Publication number: 20230113301
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, system and computer program product for managing queries to non-relational databases. A query to retrieve an object from a storage system of a non-relational database system is received from an application. A disk volume of the storage system is then identified from a record of the requested object. Upon identifying the disk volume, the logical and/or physical input/output connections to the identified disk volume that are tagged to dissimilar CPU cores of the storage system are identified. One of the identified logical and/or physical input/output connections is then selected based on the input/output access characteristics of the identified logical and/or physical input/output connections, the CPU core speeds for the CPU cores and a determined level of urgency for the retrieval of the object. The request is then sent to the storage system over the selected input/output connection.

  • Patent number: 11625389
Abstract: Methods for snapshot isolation query transactions in distributed systems are performed by systems and devices. Distributed executions of queries are performed in a processing system according to an isolation level protocol for data management and data versioning across one or more data sets, one or more compute pools, etc., within a logical server via a single transaction manager that oversees the isolation semantics and data versioning. Read transactions of queries are performed lock-free via the isolation semantics, and instant rollbacks, point-in-time queries, single-phase commits in the distributed systems are also provided. Abort and cleanup operations are performed based on a distributed abort protocol and a determined oldest active transaction for the system in which the single transaction manager does not track read-only transactions, and client nodes do not maintain commit tables for transactions.

  • Publication number: 20230105762
Abstract: An approach is described for a wireless device comprising a transceiver and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. In a thread-based device, a thread radio coexists with a primary radio, such as a Bluetooth or WiFi radio. Because both radio share a common frequency band, the thread radio requests grants from the primary radio for transmission and reception. So as to avoid bogging down the primary radio, the thread radio throttles its requests. Specifically, the thread radio tracks certain variables indicative of the number of requests that have been made within a time window and the types of requests that have been made to the primary radio. By limiting the number of total requests and the number of requests of each type within the time window, the thread radio avoids overburdening the primary radio.

  • Patent number: 11620079
Abstract: A storage system includes a controller and block-based storage device(s) that include LSA blocks arranged as a log structured array (LSA). The controller creates a first and second LUN, each including LBA locations. The controller assigns the first LUN to a first host and the second LUN to a second host, accumulates first host data associated with a first LBA location of the first LUN, writes a block-size worth of such data to a first LSA block, and maps the first LBA location to the first LSA block. In response to receiving an ODX Copy Offload instruction, the controller determines the first host data should be migrated to a target LBA location in the second LUN, determines the first and second LUN are exclusively mappable to the same LSA, maps the target LBA location to the first LSA block, and unmaps the first LBA location from the first LSA block.

  • Publication number: 20230094988
Abstract: An approach is described for a wireless device comprising a transceiver and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. In a thread-based mesh network, a transmitting device occasionally transmits various multicast messages to the network for the purpose of maintaining the network. Of these messages, the mesh link establishment (MLE) advertisement message is particularly important as it notifies neighbor routers as to the presence and function of the transmitting device. Therefore, the transmitting device of the present disclosure transmits its MLE advertisement message to the network multiple times within a given time window. Additionally, the message is transmitted each time with a same identifier. A recipient device stores the identifier of each most recent MLE advertisement message. The identifier of each subsequently received MLE advertisement is compared to the stored identifier. This allows the recipient device to determine whether the message has been previously received.

  • Publication number: 20230101761
Abstract: Generating a personalized automated voice response in a telecommunications network is provided. An incoming call from a caller for user equipment of an operator in the telecommunications network is identified. In response to identifying the incoming call, it is determined whether to provide an automated response to the incoming call. In response to determining to provide the automated response to the incoming call, a personalized response message from the operator of the user equipment to the caller is generated based on characteristics of communications between the caller and the operator of the user equipment. The personalized automated voice response comprising the personalized response message in a synthesized voice of the operator of the user equipment is generated. • Publication number: 20230099750
Abstract: A method for power-savings of UE operating within a 5G network. Transmission requirement data of logical channels for application-level data are collected from SDAP, including logical channel ID, application ID, and QCI indexing information. A list of logical channels with QCI indexing for permissible delay of packets is created. The logical channels of the list are mapped to related RLC channels. Responsive to receipt of a packet by a RLC multiplexing layer, the RLC channel ID from a SARQ packet is mapped to the list of permissible transmission delay logical channels of packets. responsive to a match between the RLC channel ID and the logical channels of the list, the packet is saved to an RLC data structure in allocated memory, and responsive to receipt of a time-critical packet, the time-critical packet, and the saved packet are submitted to a MAC carrier controller for transmission processing.
