  • Patent number: 9260672
Abstract: The present invention provides a process for deep desulphurization of cracked gasoline with minimum octane loss of about 1-2 units. In this process full range cracked gasoline from FCC, Coker, Visbreaker etc is sent to Diolefin Saturation Reactor for selective saturation of diolefins. After saturation of diolefins, the stream is sent to Splitter for splitting into three cuts i.e Light Cut (IBP-70° C.), Intermediate Cut (70-90° C.) and Heavy Cut (90-210° C.). The Light Cut which contains majority of the high octane olefins and mercaptan sulfur is desulfurized with caustic treatment using Continuous Film Contactor (CFC). The sulfur in the Intermediate Cut is also predominantly mercaptans and the cut can be desulfurized by caustic treatment using CFC along with Light cut or separately desulfurized before being sent for isomerization. The Heavy Cut containing mainly thiophinic sulfur compounds is treated either by using conventional HDS process or reactive adsorption process.

  • Publication number: 20160034826
Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and computer program products provide real-time access to seating/work station information, including seat allocations/assignments and seat availability. Users are provided the ability to request a seat for allocation and to receive confirmation of the seat allocation/assignment in real-time. The automated nature of the present invention eliminates seat request/allocation duplication caused by multiple managers individually requesting seats manually and, in doing so, eliminates the resulting rework associated with duplicate requests/allocations. Moreover, the real-time functionality of the present invention reduces or eliminates the need to consolidate allocation requests and updates. In addition, the real-time view of seat allocations provides for instantaneous and up-to-the-minute analysis, data and reporting, which results in more timely decisions regarding seat allocations.

  • Publication number: 20150378617
Abstract: A method for accelerating a background replication process on storage volumes during application I/O (input/output) requests includes reading requested data from a first storage volume. The method stores the requested data in an embedded memory device, and providing the requested data to the application. The method receives a read request from the background replication process. The method responds to the read request from the background replication process by providing data from the embedded memory device to the requesting background replication process concurrently with providing data to the requesting application. The method stores, by the background replication process, the data provided from the embedded memory device onto a second storage volume.

  • Publication number: 20150302071
Abstract: A mechanism is provided in a data processing system for data replication. The mechanism divides a set of data to be replicated into a plurality of slices. Each slice of the plurality of slices is to be copied from a primary site to a master secondary site within a plurality of secondary sites. The plurality of secondary sites comprises the master secondary site and at least one subsidiary peer site. The mechanism copies the plurality of slices from the primary site to the plurality of secondary sites such that the master secondary site stores a first slice of the set of data and each of the at least one subsidiary peer site stores a corresponding slice of the set of data. Responsive to completion of copying the plurality of slices to the plurality of secondary sites, for each of the at least one subsidiary peer site, the mechanism initiates copying of the corresponding slice of the set of data to the master secondary site.

  • Publication number: 20150227431
Abstract: A mechanism is provided in a data processing system for asynchronous replication. The mechanism creates a record in a write log in a host computing device for a write command and marking the record as uncommitted. The mechanism maintains a copy of data to be written by the write command at the host computing device. The mechanism issues the write command from the host computing device to a primary storage controller at the primary storage site. Responsive to receiving an acknowledgement from the primary storage controller that the data have been written to the primary storage site, the mechanism marks the record as unreplicated. Responsive to receiving an acknowledgement from the primary storage controller that the data have been replicated to a secondary storage site, the mechanism erases the record in the write log and deleting the copy of data.
