  • Publication number: 20220019498
Abstract: In some examples, a computing device may determine that an issue (e.g., crash, restart etc.) occurred, gather context data (e.g., logs, device profile, etc.) associated with the issue, and generate a contact address to technical support based on the context data. The computing device may upload the context data to a location accessible to a server. After a user of the computing device initiates a communication to technical support using the contact address, the server may automatically route the call, based on the contact address, to a particular technician that has experience addressing the issue. The server may retrieve the context data and use machine learning to determine recommendations to address the issue. The machine learning may prioritize the recommendations and provide the context data and the prioritized recommendations to enable the particular technician to quickly resolve the issue.

  • Patent number: 11210431
Abstract: In some examples, a computing device may determine, based on sensor data, that the computing device is in a public environment. In response, the computing device may display an entry wheel to enable a user to enter a password. The entry wheel may include multiple input symbols arranged equidistant around a circle. In some cases, one or more geometric patterns linking a portion of the input symbols may be displayed. After receiving an individual character of the password, the computing device may display the entry wheel rotated a number of positions in either a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction and display zero or more of the geometric patterns. After all the characters of the password have been received, the computing device may determine if the password matches a previously stored password. If the password matches, the computing device may transition from a low power state to an active state.

  • Publication number: 20210398187
Abstract: In some examples, a server may receive usage data from a computing device, determine a usage profile of the computing device, and determine that a component of the computing device is predicted to fail and at what time. If the time is within a warranty period of a current warranty, then the server may recommend purchasing an upgraded warranty and provide a cost-benefit analysis of purchasing the upgraded warranty. If the time is outside the warranty period, then the server may recommend purchasing an extended warranty and provide a cost-benefit analysis of purchasing the extended warranty. The server may use the usage data to make a recommendation to upgrade one or more components (e.g., memory, disk drive, network card, or the like) of the computing device. The server may use the usage data to make a recommendation to upgrade from the computing device to a different computing device.

  • Publication number: 20210334238
Abstract: In some examples, before saving a file, a device analyzes contents (e.g., text and images) of the file to create a bag of words. The device performs Latent Dirichlet Allocation of the bag of words to determine topics included in the file and orders the topics in descending order of frequency. The device generates a particular name of the file based on the ordered topics and automatically save (or suggest saving) the file with the particular name. The device determines, based on the ordered topics, a folder name of a folder in which to store the file. If an existing folder has the folder name, then the device saves the file in the existing folder. If not, then the device creates a new folder with the folder name and saves the file in the new folder.

  • Patent number: 11159464
Abstract: An information handling system determines context features for an electronic mail message based on a payload of the electronic mail message. A processor adds the context features to the payload of the electronic mail message to create an updated payload. Based on the updated payload, the processor sets a quarantine indication for the electronic mail message to either a first state or a second state. In response to the quarantine indication for the electronic mail message being in the first state, the processor assigns the electronic mail message to an electronic mail storm. In response to the assigning of the electronic mail message being to the electronic mail storm, the processor quarantines the electronic mail message.
