  • Publication number: 20150011353
Abstract: An automatic transmission configured with four planetary gear mechanisms, three clutches, and three brakes configured so as to selectively provide ten forward speeds and a reverse speed. The configuration enables smoother acceleration due to the number of different shift speeds available, and provides a generally more comfortable driving experience. The combination also enables a reduction of loss of efficiency that that occurs due to the meshing between gears and enhances the torque transfer efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20140288754
Abstract: A control device that controls a vehicle drive device in which a rotary electric machine is provided in a power transfer path that connects between an internal combustion engine and wheels. Engagement of a second engagement device is started when a change in shift range from a stop range to a running range is detected when output torque of the rotary electric machine is zero with the internal combustion engine rotating and with both the first engagement device and the second engagement device disengaged. Engagement of a first engagement device is started after engagement of the second engagement device is started, and the output torque of the rotary electric machine is increased from zero at the same time as engagement of the first engagement device is started or before engagement of the first engagement device is started.

  • Patent number: 8821332
Abstract: In a power transmission device, a breather chamber having an opening on its one end side and extending coaxially with the countershaft is formed in a countershaft that transmits power from an output shaft of an automatic transmission to a differential mechanism. An inner end of a vent pipe placed so as to extend through a transmission case and that includes the inner end and an outer end each having an opening is inserted in the opening of the breather chamber. A plug, which closes a gap between an inner peripheral surface of the breather chamber and an outer peripheral surface of the inner end of the vent pipe so as to allow air to flow between the inside of the transmission case and the breather chamber and so as to restrict entrance of hydraulic oil into the breather chamber, is placed in the opening of the breather chamber.
