  • Publication number: 20140190610
Abstract: A tire having a large number of circular dimples 62 on sidewalls thereof is disclosed. Each dimple 62 has a slope surface 66 and a bottom surface 68. The dimple 62 has a small projection 70. The small projection 70 is annular and is formed on the slope surface 66. A cross-sectional shape of the small projection 70 is substantially a rectangle. The small projection 70 is arranged so as to be concentric with the contour of the dimple 62. The surface area of the slope surface 66 having the small projection 70 is larger than the surface area of the slope surface when it is postulated that the small projection 70 does not exist thereon.

  • Patent number: 8628163
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a printing apparatus and a printing method even with a variation in the temperature of a print head, thus keeping the quality of images resulting from printing high. Adjustment patterns used to adjust the difference in ink ejection timing between ink ejected in a forward direction and ink ejected in a backward direction during scanning are printed at a plurality of different temperatures. Adjustment values for the ink ejection timing at the respective temperatures are selected from the adjustment patterns. Then, the correction value for the ink ejection timing is calculated from the adjustment values based on the temperature detected by the detection device. Printing is then performed with the difference in ink ejection timing between the ink ejected in the forward direction and the ink ejected in the backward direction during scanning, adjusted based on the correction value.

  • Patent number: 8596444
Abstract: In a paper bill depositing/dispensing apparatus, when a roof plate and a stage plate move from a depositing/dispensing unit to a temporarily accumulating unit along with a deposited bill, rotations of a pick roller, a separator, a feed roller and a conveyance roller are driven to carry a bill to a conveyance path that connects to a bill storing unit, and a partial paddle wheel stops by orientating its round surface, not provided with paddles, toward a path of the carried bill. When a bill is dispensed, the separator, the feed roller and the conveyance roller rotate in a bill carry-in direction to carry the bill conveyed from the conveyance path in the temporarily accumulating unit, and the partial paddle wheel beats a rear end of the carried bill with paddles to align the rear end of the bill at a bottom position d.

  • Publication number: 20130027455
Abstract: A printing apparatus includes a print unit, an acquisition unit, and a setting unit. The print unit performs printing on a sheet by repeating reciprocating scans of a print head. The acquisition unit acquires information on a temperature of the print head. The setting unit sets a wait time to start a next scan after one scan. The setting unit increases the wait time by a predetermined additional time for each subsequent scan once a value acquired by the acquisition unit exceeds a first threshold, unless the value falls below a second threshold.

Abstract: [Object] A pneumatic tire 2 which is excellent in durability is provided. [Solution] The tire 2 includes a tread 4, wings 6, sidewalls 8, clinch sections 10, beads 12, a carcass 14, support layers 16, a belt 18, and a band 20. The sidewalls 8 include multiple dimples 62. When air flows into the dimples 62, turbulent flow is generated. The turbulent flow allows heat of the tire 2 to be released to the air. The surface shape of each dimple 62 is an ellipse. The length La of the major axis of the ellipse is longer than the length Li of the minor axis of the ellipse. The ratio (La/Li) is greater than or equal to 1.2/1, and is not greater than 5/1. The depth of each dimple 62 is greater than or equal to 0.2 mm, and is not greater than 7 mm. The clinch sections 10 may include the dimples 62.
