    Abstract: In medical guide wire (1A), a tapered second helical spring (7) is interposed continuously between a first helical spring (6) and the third helical spring (8) each wound around a leading end portion (2). From a middle portion of the second helical spring (7) to a leading top end of the first helical spring (6), a spiral blood stream path (10) is serially provided along a line gap (C1) of the helical springs (7, 6). A gap-stopper (12) is provided between the leading end portion (2) and the second helical spring (7) in order to induce a high speed spiral blood flow (17) along the spiral blood stream path (10) when the leading end portion (2) reaches a diseased area (13). The high speed spiral blood flow (17) provides the leading end portion (2) with the advancing force (F) and the rotational force (T).

    Abstract: A one piece sheet metal pulley has a support structure for rigidly affixing the pulley to an end of a rotary shaft. The pulley includes a peripheral surface, a web, and a hub integrally formed of a single metal sheet. A plurality of protrusions are raised from the hub, each protrusion being a portion between two spaced slits bent upwards to hold the shaft end. The bent-up portion is contiguous with the sheet metal hub at opposite ends of the slits and is raised axially from the hub intermediate the ends, the protrusions bearing radially against the shaft adjacent the shaft end. A bolt hole is centrally provided in the hub for inserting an axial bolt through the hub and into the shaft, and a rotation preventing means having an eccentric attachment means on the hub resists relative rotation.

    Abstract: A module failure isolation circuit for paralleled inverters senses and averages the collector current of each inverter power transistor and compares the collector current of each power transistor with the average collector current of all power transistors to determine when the sensed collector current of a power transistor in any one inverter falls below a predetermined ratio of the average collector current. The module associated with any transistor that fails to maintain a current level above the predetermined ratio of the average collector current is then shut off. A separate circuit detects when there is no load, or a light load, to inhibit operation of the isolation circuit during no load or light load conditions.
