  • Patent number: 11770353
Abstract: A system and method for performing email processing at multiple stages along an email delivery chain. A first embodiment uses an email filter to receive information about an email message from a message transfer agent and then perform limited email pre-processing on the email message. The email filter then stores instructions and data such as the results from the email pre-processing into an internet email header added to the email message. The instructions and data placed into the email header may be encrypted for privacy and security. A later email program may extract the instructions and data from the internet email header and continue the email processing. One disclosed application of the multi-stage email processing system is email authentication.

  • Patent number: 11641332
Abstract: Methods and systems for authenticating and confidence marking e-mail messages are described. One embodiment describes a method of authenticating an e-mail message. This method involves extracting a plurality of e-mail headers associated with the e-mail message, and identifying a sending edge mail transfer agent (MTA). The method then calls for determining if the sending edge MTA is authorized to send the e-mail message.

  • Publication number: 20230130850
Abstract: Techniques for integrating advertising content into client applications are presented. Events occurring within client applications are monitored and when a predefined event is encountered and external advertising service is consulted for acquiring external content. The external content is then integrated into one or more portions of presentations associated with the client applications.

  • Publication number: 20180295137
Abstract: An Interceptor identifies requests to access a protected function or resource and dynamically invokes one or more additional authentication tests. The Interceptor for example can be configured as a plug-in for an email client, or can be integrated with native application code (or web content). The authentication tests in one implementation test inherence features, such as biometrics of a user seeking resource access. The authentication tests can be static or dynamically configured by one or more rules, and the protected functions can be designated by the Interceptor or a database or file reference. Dynamic authentication is invoked above and beyond any conventional authentication steps required of a login device (for example, user ID and password or the continued presence of a connected token). Properly structured, the additional authentication steps thwart hijacking and other hacking techniques that can seek to leverage legitimate initial client login.
