  • Publication number: 20230066559
Abstract: Systems and methods for transcranial light therapy address the deficiencies inherent in previous light therapy devices. Improved adjustability of the location, placement, and directionality of the applied light, thereby improving efficiency of transcranial light delivery and facilitating customization of fitment of the light therapy devices to users of differently sized and differently shaped human heads and hair is provided. Improved mechanisms and methods for controlling light therapy application at each of a plurality of light application locations are also provided, such that light therapy treatments can be highly customized for each individual and/or therapy purpose. Simultaneous, sequential, or separate ocular visible light therapy is also available, thereby increasing the options for customized therapy modalities.

  • Publication number: 20230051527
Abstract: A software enhancement and management system (E&M System) can include two ways to decompose existing software such that new functionality can be added: functional decomposition and time-affecting linear pathway (TALP) decomposition. Functional decomposition captures the inputs and outputs of the existing software's functions and attaches the new algorithmic constructs presented as other functions that receive the outputs of the existing software's functions. TALP decomposition allows for the generation of time-prediction polynomials that approximate time-complexity functions, speedup, and automatic dynamic loop-unrolling-based parallelization for each TALP.

  • Patent number: 11526596
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for requesting a plurality of credentials from a trusted entity. A local validation device (LVD) receives a credential request or an identifier from each of a plurality of user devices. The LVD generates or compiles a bundle of credential requests corresponding to the plurality of user devices. The LVD transmits the bundle of credentials requests to the MVD. The MVD receives the bundle of request and performs a validation for each request in the bundle and then communicates the credentials and/or the results of the validations to the LVD. The LVD communicates credentials to each of the plurality of user devices. In some cases, the LVD performs the validation for each credential request. For instance, the LVD can receive a local enforcement policy from the MVD, which can provide instructions or guidance to the LVD as to how to perform the validations.

  • Patent number: 11488430
Abstract: Disclosed is a system that uses a window as a microphone as a replacement for keyless entry to a vehicle. The system includes a window which acts as a microphone using a piezoelectric transducer that captures resonance on an outside surface of the vehicle window when pressure waves (e.g., voice commands or taps) impact it. To recognize this sound, a transducer controller amplifies vibrations from the window tap or spoken commands. The system may include a low-power mode that listens for input while the vehicle is off. In a second, high-power mode, the system may detect a tapping event, which may prompt a transition to a wake-up state. The system may associate a number and timing of taps with unique user keys, similar to key selections of numbers on a keypad. The system may also recognize verbal PIN code input using the piezoelectric transducer microphone.

  • Patent number: 11460996
Abstract: A process, and corresponding system for performing the process, is described for editing and representing property values for a digital map. The process retrieves electronic map data from a style sheet corresponding to a vector map tile set for a digital map and displays map layer styles in a property editor panel, where each map style layer references a portion of the data and one or more visual style rules to apply to the portion. The process also displays a visual map with the map layer styles applied. Upon receiving selection of one or more map style layers from the plurality of map style layers, the process displays style layer properties and values corresponding to each. The process renders in the visual map only the selected one or more style layers marked as visible. As edits are made in the property editor panel, the visual map is updated to reflect the changes.

  • Patent number: 11437548
Abstract: Pixelated-LED chips including a plurality of independently electrically accessible active layer portions supported by a plurality of discontinuous substrate portions to form a plurality of pixels, with underfill material of varying composition provided between sidewalls of adjacent pixels. Underfill materials having different reflection, scattering, absorption, filtering, etch-resistance, and/or light refraction properties may be provided in multiple layers. A method for fabricating a pixelated-LED chip includes defining streets through an active layer and portions of a substrate to form active layer portions, thinning an entire upper portion of a substrate to create openings into the streets and form discontinuous substrate portions bounding the streets, and supplying underfill material through the openings into the streets.

  • Patent number: 11429989
Abstract: The present teaching relates to method, system, and medium for determining audience clusters to be assigned to an advertisement exposure opportunity. A plurality of advertisement exposure opportunities are obtained, wherein each of the plurality of advertisement exposure opportunities is to be used for placing an advertisement. For each of the plurality of advertisement exposure opportunities, a plurality of audience clusters are generated based on at least one criterion associated with the advertisement exposure opportunity. The plurality of audience clusters are ranked based on at least one ranking criterion, and ordered audience clusters are generated based on the ranking. The ordered audience clusters associated with the plurality of advertisement exposure opportunities in response to an event are updated, wherein the ordered audience clusters for each of the plurality of advertisement exposure opportunities are generated prior to receiving a request for placing the advertisement.

  • Publication number: 20220271017
Abstract: At least one array of LEDs (e.g., in a flip chip configuration) is supported by a substrate having a light extraction surface overlaid with at least one lumiphoric material. Light segregation elements registered with gaps between LEDs are configured to reduce interaction between emissions of different LEDs and/or lumiphoric material regions to reduce scattering and/or optical crosstalk, thereby preserving pixel-like resolution of the resulting emissions. Light segregation elements may be formed by mechanical sawing or etching to define grooves or recesses in a substrate, and filling the grooves or recesses with light-reflective or light-absorptive material. Light segregation elements external to a substrate may be defined by photolithographic patterning and etching of a sacrificial material, and/or by 3D printing.
