Patent number: 11008159Abstract: A hollow extension collar for a flowable material dispensing box, fits over a prior art dispensing box and can be locked in place to increase the enclosed volume incrementally. The incremental increase is determined by the height of walls from which the extension collar is formed. Multiple extension collars can be stacked on top of each other and filled with flowable material.Type: GrantFiled: January 3, 2018Date of Patent: May 18, 2021Assignee: Buckhorn, Inc.Inventors: Scott Bailey, Eric Bellman, Jack Fillmore, Jason Gearhart

Publication number: 20210108496Abstract: This disclosure describes methods for remediating subterranean-formed metal-polymer complexes in wells in subterranean formations. In particular, these methods utilize a peracetic acid remediation mixture. The peracetic acid remediation mixture is injected into a subterranean formation adjacent to a well at a pressure below the fracture pressure of the formation. A sufficient contact time is allowed and then the peracetic acid remediation mixture is pumped from the subsurface. This has been shown to degrade, and thus remediate, polymer-containing, subterranean-formed metal-polymer complexes in shale formations.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 9, 2020Publication date: April 15, 2021Applicant: Flex-Chem Holding Company, LLCInventors: Andrew Bryce Conway, Scott Bailey

Patent number: 10938729Abstract: A communication node of a multi-node communication network may include a communication interface and a controller communicatively coupled to the communication interface. The controller may be configured to: transmit one or more data packets over an in-use channel to one or more additional communication nodes of the multi-node communication network; determine an in-use channel quality indicator (CQI) value (CQIin-use) of the in-use channel; determine a self-degradation value (SDV) indicative of channel quality degradation attributable to the multi-node communication network; determine a candidate CQI value (CQIcandidate) of an identified candidate channel different from the in-use channel; determine a first CQI difference value (CQI1diff); transmit one or more data packets over the in-use channel if CQI1diff does not exceed a CQI threshold value (CQIthresh); and transmit one or more data packets over the candidate channel if CQI1diff exceeds CQIthresh.Type: GrantFiled: August 14, 2019Date of Patent: March 2, 2021Assignee: Rockwell Collins, Inc.Inventors: Ian R. Worden, T J T. Kwon, Thomas L. Tapp, Scott A. Bailey

Publication number: 20200378111Abstract: An example acoustic tile is disclosed having a structure with at least one layer. A plurality of openings are formed in the at least one layer of the structure. The openings are configured to direct sound waves hitting the structure in multiple different directions through the at least one layer to absorb a majority of the sound waves and inhibit the sound waves hitting the structure from reflecting off of the structure. In an example, the openings are juxtaposed, different sizes, different orientations, and/or different numbers of openings on separate layers.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 29, 2020Publication date: December 3, 2020Inventors: Cynthia Fishman, Scott Bailey

Publication number: 20200204593Abstract: A device secures open authorization (OAuth) resources according to systems described herein. In some instances, a resource server is configured for receiving a request for authorization from a client device. The request, for authorization to use a requested resource, may include a token having at least one claim. The resource server may interpret data of the token according to a domain specific language. The interpreting may obtain at least one rule associated with the at least one claim from among a range of resource access control rules. The rule may be compared against a resource request and operation. Based on the comparison, the request may be allowed or rejected. In one example, interpretation of the token may decode resources including quantities and combinations of uniform resource identifiers (URIs) claimed by the token using a domain specific language defined by a context-free grammar.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 28, 2020Publication date: June 25, 2020Inventors: Jeffrey Scott Bailey, Elliott Edwards, John Andrew Laughlin, Rylan Herdt

Patent number: 10518764Abstract: The present invention relates generally to improving the fuel efficiency of autonomous vehicles by operating either (1) at a first effective engine displacement that takes into account noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) when the vehicle is occupied or (2) at a second effective engine displacement, without concern for occupant NVH, when the vehicle is not occupied. The second effective engine displacement is typically more fuel efficient than the first effective engine displacement, but result in a higher level of NVH compared to the first effective engine displacement.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2018Date of Patent: December 31, 2019Assignee: Tula Technology, Inc.Inventors: Yongyan Cao, Ying Ren, Louis J. Serrano, Robert Scott Bailey, Ram Subramanian

Patent number: 10497291Abstract: A frame for displaying a placard on a grain bin is attached to the grain bin with conventional threaded fasteners having shank portions and head portions. The head portions of the fasteners attaching the frame to the bin do not interfere with the placard's insertion into the frame by way of ramp-like protuberances formed into the frame portions above where the fasteners are located. The protuberances deflect the placard over the fasteners' heads and allow the placard to be fully inserted into the frame with either a frictional, clearance or interference fit between the fastener and the frame.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2018Date of Patent: December 3, 2019Assignee: BUCKHORN, INC.Inventors: Scott Bailey, Eric Bellman

Patent number: 10243844Abstract: A telecommunications mobility management system is arranged to allocate a mobile unit to different switching routes for different classes of service, for example to allow services capable of operation over packet-switched and circuit-switched to be managed separately. Separate location updates are transmitted to a register, and flagged for selective retrieval by a routing function when an incoming connection request is made, the appropriate switch ID being selected according to the class of service to which the connection request relates.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2016Date of Patent: March 26, 2019Assignee: British Telecommunications Public Limited CompanyInventors: Maria Cuevas Ramirez, Scott Bailey

Patent number: 9694392Abstract: A screen panel has a pre-tensioned screen with a polished metal plate mounted to the top of the frame to eliminate all the exposed surface areas of epoxy which secures the screen to the screen panel frame. The metal plate also provides an edge against which a silicone bead may be seated to provide a much cleaner and finished looking panel which is anticipated to meet the standards set forth by the USDA. Additionally, the spatial positioning of the plate atop the screen material and screen frame allows for a clean and smooth transition across the components and one which may accept a finished bead of silicon or other material for reducing and/or eliminating sites for mold growth or other containments thereby enhancing the ability to clean and sterilize the screen panel for the processing of various materials.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 2015Date of Patent: July 4, 2017Assignee: Rotex Global, LLCInventors: Scott A.
