  • Patent number: 11574512
Abstract: A movable barrier operator comprising a motor, communication circuitry configured to receive a control signal and communicate with a door lock associated with a passageway door, and a controller. The controller is configured to authenticate the control signal, wherein authenticating the control signal includes associating the signal with a first level of access or a second level of access. The controller is further configured to communicate with the door lock via the communication circuitry to permit opening of the passageway door in response to associating the control signal with the first level of access and inhibit opening of the passageway door in response to associating the control signal with the second level of access. The controller is configured to cause the motor to open the movable barrier regardless of association of the control signal with the first level of access or the second level of access.

  • Patent number: 11495929
Abstract: A battery pack adapter system includes a device that allows different sized and shaped battery packs to be converted for use with multiple power tools from different brands. In one embodiment, a drill battery and drill are joined together through means of the battery pack adapter device. This allows the drill battery to power the drill even though the battery and drill have different configurations. The battery pack adapter device includes metal electrical connectors that extend from a top end of the device towards a bottom end of the device. The metal electrical connectors transfer the electrical energy from the battery to the power tool through by means of the adapter.

  • Publication number: 20220314165
Abstract: A system and method recover process gas from a source volume at a source pressure to a destination volume at an equal or greater pressure. A regulation process receive the process gas from the source volume and steps down the pressure. Each regulation uses one or more stage each using a pressure control valve for pressure step down and a heat exchanger for reheating the process gas thereafter. A gas scrubber receives the process gas from the regulation stages and collecting liquid from the process gas. A compression process receives the process gas from the gas scrubber and steps up the intermediate pressure to a final pressure. The compression can use one or more compression stages, each having a compression cycle for pressure step up and a heat exchanger for cooling the process gas thereafter. A discharge vessel receives the process gas from the compression process and discharges the process gas at the final pressure to the destination volume.

  • Publication number: 20210129046
Abstract: A cleaning apparatus is used with a slug catcher for a pipeline upstream of a process. An inlet of the catcher separates liquid and gas of the flow, and a gas outlet outputs the gas. Tubes of the catcher extend below the inlet to collect the liquid in a liquid outlet for output to the process. An actuator of the apparatus has a mover disposed internal to a portion of the liquid outlet. Movable with the actuator, the mover moves any debris relative to at least one outlet port of the liquid outlet. For example, a motor can rotate a feed screw in a sludge manifold to move a paddle for scrubbing debris to an outlet in the manifold. In another example, a motor can rotate an auger in the sludge manifold to move debris to the manifold's outlet. The apparatus can be manually or automatically operated.

  • Patent number: 10810817
Abstract: Generally speaking, and pursuant to these various embodiments, a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium is provided that allows a guest to contact an owner or operator of a secured premises or area to gain access to the secured premises. An access control device initiates contact with a guest device and provides a resource to contact an owner device. If the owner decides to grant access to the guest, the owner selects a suitable input on the owner device so that the owner device sends an authorized signal to the guest device. The guest device acts as a gateway and forwards the authorized signal to the access control device. The access control device operates in response to reception of the authorized signal to grant the guest access to the secured premises.
