  • Patent number: 10487979
Abstract: A T-post hanger plate for mounting to a T-post forms an opening passing through the plate. The opening is shaped to allow the T-post to pass through the opening when the plate is orientated perpendicular to the T-post, and the opening engages the protrusions on the flange of the T-post when the T-post hanger plate is angled relative to the T-post. A hook at an end of the T-post hanger plate allows a target to be hung from the hanger plate when it is mounted to a T-post. The hook has a smooth inner surface and an angular outer surface. Striking the target causes the target to pivot on the hook, but the angular outer surface causes the target to bind on the hook preventing the target from swinging off of the hook due to the movement created by striking the target with a projectile, such as a bullet.

  • Publication number: 20180180612
Abstract: A diagnostic system for assessing cardiovascular health is provided that incorporates a microfluidic platform and sensors that capture inflammatory monocytes. The portable microfluidic platform shears activated monocytes in a small volume of blood (˜50 ?L) over a glass substrate that mimics the stress and molecular constituents of an inflamed artery. The sensor utilizes CD11c antibodies and/or VLA-4 ligands to capture cells. The device captures a subset of inflammatory subset of activated white blood cells that play a critical role in the progression of cardiovascular disease and whose numbers in the blood and the efficiency of capture directly correlate with risk and pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease. The risk of future cardiac events can be assessed. The system can facilitate early detection of cardiovascular disease and can guide risk factor modification and therapy following treatment.

  • Patent number: 9975514
Abstract: An air bag chute assembly attaches an air bag module to an automotive instrument panel. An outer collar attaches the assembly to the instrument panel. A tubular chute extends interiorly from the collar to a lower end defining a deployment path for the air bag. A door flap is disposed in an upper end of the chute rotatable from the collar to emerge from the instrument panel. A hinge attaching the door flap to the collar comprises a plurality of S-shaped extendable hinge straps laterally spaced along one edge of the door flap. A first hinge strap proximate one lateral end of the hinge has a first length shorter than a second length of a second hinge strap proximate an opposite lateral end of the hinge, thereby restricting rotation of the door flap at the one lateral end in order to avoid contacting a windshield during deployment.

  • Patent number: 9796314
Abstract: An assembly for mounting a door with a vehicle compartment includes an arm coupled with the compartment and with the door, a track fixed with the compartment, and a carrier pivotably coupled with the door and slidable along the track. The assembly further includes a spring coupled between the door and the compartment such that a contraction of the spring alone causes the door to move with rotation of the arm and movement of the carrier along the track. A track cover engages the carrier to prevent disengagement of the carrier from the track.

  • Patent number: 9475168
Abstract: The polishing pad is suitable for polishing or planarizing at least one of semiconductor, optical and magnetic substrates. The polishing pad has a polishing surface, an opening through the polishing pad and a transparent window within the opening in the polishing pad. The transparent window has a concave surface with a depth that increases with use of the polishing pad. A signal region slopes downward into the central region for facilitating debris removal and a debris drainage groove extending through the central region into the polishing pad. Rotating the polishing pad with polishing fluid in the debris drainage groove sends debris from the central region into the polishing pad through the debris drainage groove.
