  • Publication number: 20230258011
Abstract: An example pool double safety cover has an upper cover substantially impermeable to water, and a lower cover substantially permeable to water. An example pool double safety cover has a first pulley system for the upper cover and a second pulley system for the lower cover. Each pulley system has first and second pulley wheels at one end of the pool and third and fourth pulley wheels at the opposite end of the pool. Rotating at least one of the pulley wheels causes all of the pulley wheels of the corresponding pulley system to move either a first line connected to the upper cover or a second line connected to the lower cover. An upper track guides the upper cover to open and close over a pool opening, and a lower track guides the lower cover to open and close over the pool opening.

  • Patent number: 11719538
Abstract: A plot measurement system which enables a user to singlehandedly mark boundaries and features of a sports field or construction site with improved accuracy. The system utilizes a plurality of vertex markers connected by measuring leaders to provide triangulation. A three-vertex marker system can be used to construct triangles, which can then be used to construct any n-sided shape. The concept is scalable and a four-vertex marker system is presented to quickly construct quadrangle plots such as an endzone. The disclosure presents mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Publication number: 20230236675
Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure enable movement recognition and tracking by receiving movement measurements associated with movements of a user. The movement measurements are converted into feature values. An action recognition machine learning model having trained action recognition parameters generates, based on the feature values, an action label representing an action performed during an action-related interval. An activity recognition machine learning model having trained activity recognition parameters generates, based on the action label, an activity label representing an activity performed during an activity-related interval, where the activity includes the action. A task recognition machine learning model having trained task recognition parameters generates, based on the action label and the activity label, a task label representing a task performed during a task-related interval, where the task includes the activity and action.

  • Publication number: 20230237062
Abstract: A content unification system is described herein that aligns related content from various sources into one unified stream. The system leverages tagging (e.g., hashtags or other added metadata associated with content) to filter and connect related content across sites, formats, and sources. One component of the system is a user-friendly and customizable “dash board” view of the various topics, called a “tagboard”. Tagboards can be quickly and easily created by users and can be embedded on any website. Users can interact with various content sources such as blogs, forums, or services without leaving the tagboard they are viewing. The content unification system provides users the tools to make the web efficient, increase user interaction, and increase the signal to noise ratio. The system also allows site owners and publishers to monetize their traffic better by directing advertisements to their content in real time.

  • Patent number: 11709120
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for improved laser speckle imaging of samples, such as vascularized tissue, for the determination of the rate of movement of light scattering particles within the sample. The system includes a structure adjoining a light source and a photo-sensitive detector. The structure can be positioned adjacent the sample (e.g., coupled to the sample) and configured to orient the light source and detector relative the sample such that surface reflections, including specular reflections and diffuse reflections, are discouraged from entering the detection field of the detector. The separation distance along the structure between the light source and the detector may further enable selective depth penetration into the sample and biased sampling of multiply scattered photons. The system includes an operably coupled processor programmed to derive contrast metrics from the detector and to relate the contrast metrics to a rate of movement of the light scattering particles.

  • Patent number: 11709968
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, that protect analytics for resources of a publisher from traffic directed to such resources by malicious entities. An analytics server receives a first message that includes an encrypted token and analytics data for a publisher-provided resource. The token includes a portion of the analytics data and a trust score indicating a likelihood that activity on the resource is attributed to a human (rather than an automated process). The analytics server decrypts the token. The analytics server determines a trustworthiness measure for the analytics data included in the first message based on the trust score (in the decrypted token) and a comparison of the analytics data in the first message and the portion of the analytics data (in the decrypted token). Based on the measure of trustworthiness, the analytics server performs analytics operations using the analytics data.

  • Patent number: 11704352
Abstract: An apparatus includes a memory and processor. The memory stores OCR and NLP algorithms. The processor receives an image of a physical document page and executes the OCR algorithm to convert the image into text. The processor identifies errors in the text, which are associated with noise in the image. The processor generates a feature vector that includes features obtained by executing the NLP algorithm on the text, and features associated with the identified errors in the text. The processor uses the feature vector to assign the image to a document category. Documents assigned to the document category share one or more characteristics, and the feature vector is associated with a probability greater than a threshold that the physical document associated with the image includes those characteristics. The processor then stores the image in a database as a page of an electronic document belonging to the assigned document category.

  • Patent number: 11693036
Abstract: A utility meter includes a consumption measurement unit for generating consumption data, a meter processor, and a RTC for time stamping the consumption data to provide interval meter data during interval meter operation. A memory stores the interval meter data. The meter processor implements/initiates responsive to a power loss that suspends RTC operation, switching from interval to relative time operation where consumption data is stored as relative consumption data together with a relative time as relative meter data. Responsive power restoration and receiving a current time, the meter switches from relative time to interval meter operation. The restoration time is calculated using the current and an elapsed time since the restoration. The time of restoration and current time is used to generate calculated times. The consumption data from relative time operation is time stamped with the calculated times to provide time-corrected relative meter data that is stored to the memory.
