  • Patent number: 10333860
Abstract: In accordance with a method a plurality of subscriber systems are provided, the systems being coupled via a Wide Area Network (WAN) and comprising a first subscriber system. The first subscriber system has processing and non-volatile storage and is suitably programmed for providing a subscriber service to a first subscriber. The first system is disposed in an unsecured location, which is associated with the first subscriber. Subsequently, the subscriber service is provided to the first subscriber. Separately, a task is provided to the first subscriber system via the WAN and is executed on the first subscriber system. An activity record for the execution of the task is logged, based on an amount of at least one of the processing and the non-volatile storage consumed on the first subscriber system during execution of the task.

  • Patent number: 10325284
Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for managing the cadence (e.g., frequency or rate) that electronic promotion correspondence is sent to a consumer. A system may access a target cadence indicator associated with a consumer that indicates of a target rate for sending electronic promotion correspondence to the consumer. The system may also determine an actual cadence indicator for the consumer over a predetermined period of time and analyze a potential electronic promotion correspondence for sending to the consumer. The system determines whether to send the electronic correspondence to the consumer based on the target cadence indicator, the actual cadence indicator, and the analysis of the electronic promotion correspondence.

  • Patent number: 10325497
Abstract: A parking inventory management system includes a sensor apparatus with at least one magnetometer configured to generate a magnetic signature of a vehicle as it drives across the sensor apparatus. A computing device performs an analysis of the magnetic signature of the vehicle as received from the at least one magnetometer, the analysis including at least comparing the magnetic signature of the vehicle as received from the at least one magnetometer to known magnetic signatures of known vehicles. The computing device performs the analysis of the magnetic signature of the vehicle by comparing the magnetic signature of the vehicle to each of the known magnetic signatures of known vehicles to thereby determine a direction of travel of the vehicle based upon the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20190170845
Abstract: A system and method for measuring the position of one or more object in an area of interest. The system has a primary beacon located at a first fixed position in or near the area of interest which generates a time referenced primary signal, two or more secondary beacons located at different fixed positions in or near the area of interest which generate time referenced secondary signals and one or more portable tag, the portable tag being attachable to the object. The portable tag has a portable tag circuit for calculating the distance of the portable tag to the primary and secondary beacons by means of a time of flight calculation which uses, the known position of the primary and secondary beacons, time referenced signals and delay information associated with the time referenced signals, such that the portable tag calculates its own position.

  • Patent number: 10303762
Abstract: A method is disclosed for evaluating a chat message sent between users of an online environment. The method may include associating each word in the chat message with metadata. The metadata identifies a word type and usage for each word in the chat message. This method may also include identifying one or more safety rules associated with the metadata. Each safety rule identifies an ordered sequence of one or more sets of words. This method may also include applying the safety rule to the chat message to determine whether a sequence of words in the chat message present in the ordered sequence of sets of words. Upon determining a word, from each set of words in the ordered sequence of sets of words, matches a respective one of the words in the chat message, the chat message is blocked from being sent to a message recipient.

  • Publication number: 20190128995
Abstract: A system for measuring the position of one or more object in an area of interest. The system has one or more portable tag which is attachable to the object and four or more beacons each positioned in separate fixed locations in or near the area of interest, The beacons have a primary beacon function and a secondary beacon function and the portable tag measures the time referenced signal from the beacon using its primary beacon function and the time referenced echo from the beacons using their secondary beacon function to calculate the position of the portable tag with respect to the beacon. A controller switches said beacons between their primary beacon function and their secondary beacon function to create a plurality of calculations of the position of the portable tag.
