  • Publication number: 20190251753
Abstract: Users can view images or renderings of items placed (virtually) within a physical space. For example, a rendering of an item can be placed within a live camera view of the physical space. A snapshot of the physical space can be captured and the snapshot can be customized, shared, etc. The renderings can be represented as two-dimensional images, e.g., virtual stickers or three-dimensional models of the items. Users can have the ability to view different renderings, move those items around, and develop views of the physical space that may be desirable. The renderings can link to products offered through an electronic marketplace and those products can be consumed. Further, collaborative design is enabled through modeling the physical space and enabling users to view and move around the renderings in a virtual view of the physical space.

  • Patent number: 10380637
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses to dynamically allocate location dependent telephone numbers to facilitate voice connections between people. One embodiment includes: responsive to a request from a user, selecting a telephone number from a plurality of telephone numbers of a connection server to match a location indicator of the request; embedding the telephone number in an advertisement, the telephone number to be used by the user to initiate a telephone call to the connection server for further connection to an advertiser of the advertisement; and providing the advertisement with the telephone number of the connection server as a response to the request. In one embodiment, responsive to receiving the telephone call at the telephone number of the connection server from the user, whether to play a prompt message to the user is determined based at least in part on statistic data about telephone calls collected at the connection server.

  • Publication number: 20190236846
Abstract: Systems and methods for a markerless approach to displaying an image of a virtual object in an environment are described. A computing device is used to capture an image of a real-world environment; for example including a feature-rich planar surface. One or more virtual objects which do not exist in the real-world environment are displayed in the image, such as by being positioned in a manner that they appear to be resting on the planar surface, based at least on a sensor bias value and scale information obtained by capturing multiple image views of the real-world environment.

  • Publication number: 20190187729
Abstract: A flow washer assembly includes a housing with a channel for fluid flow, a seat positioned in the channel and including an upstream surface, and a washer press fit in the channel and engaging the upstream surface of the seat. The washer may be provided with a central opening that is sized according to predefined flow characteristics. An outside diameter of the washer at least adjacent an upstream end may be greater than an inside diameter of the channel such that the washer assumes a flexed orientation when press fit into the channel. Since the washer is pre-deflected, it will deflect further as inlet fluid pressure increases, effectively keeping the fluid flow rate relatively constant. The “pre -flexing” of the washer eliminates a spike in flow rate that occurs with conventional flow washer assemblies.

  • Patent number: 10211530
Abstract: Antennas used aboard aircraft to communicate with satellites or ground stations may have complex antenna patterns, which may vary as the aircraft moves throughout a given coverage area. Techniques are disclosed for dynamically adjusting the instantaneous power fed to an antenna system to ensure that the antenna transmits at the regulatory or coordinated effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) spectral limit. The antenna may transmit, in accordance with aircraft location and attitude, steerable beam patterns at different scan and skew angle combinations, causing variations in antenna gain and fluctuations in the transmitted EIRP. Using on-board navigational data, an antenna gain and ESD limit may be calculated for a particular scan and skew angle, which may be used to adjust power fed to the antenna such that the antenna transmits substantially at maximum allowable EIRP as the steerable beam pattern is adjusted.
