  • Patent number: 5311231
Abstract: A lens-fitted photographic film unit comprises a main body having a photograph-taking function and a rear cover for shielding the rear of the main body in a light-tight manner. The main body has a film supply chamber and a film take-up chamber both of which are provided with respective bottom openings. The film supply chamber is provided with a first side edge limiting plate so as partially to shield the bottom opening. The rear cover is provided with a cap for closing the bottom opening of the film supply chamber and a second side edge limiting plate. A winding shaft is engaged with a film leader of a photographic film, drawn from a photographic film cassette and positioned in a film supply chamber. Similarly, the empty photographic film cassette is positioned in a film take-up chamber.

  • Patent number: 5277164
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for control of engine fuel injection are characterized by detecting the state of the acceleration of the engine and also judging whether or not the engine is in a specific acceleration state, by, when the engine is judged to be in a specific state of acceleration, using such a value as a crank shaft angle obtained in advance in order to predict the air mass flow rate of the air flowing into a specific cylinder having undergone a fuel injection, by using the predicted air mass flow rate or the crank shaft angle to determine a proper asynchronous fuel injection quantity for the above-mentioned acceleration state for the specific cylinder, and then by performing an asynchronous injection.

  • Patent number: 5237645
Abstract: In a printing apparatus for printing on printing paper, page by page, wherein print data of each of virtual pages are divided into blocks, print data of effective blocks are stored in an image memory, while print data of empty blocks are not stored in the image memory, and instead information indicating the emptiness is stored. During supply of the print data to a printing section, empty data are generated from the information on the emptiness, while effective data are read out of the image memory. The empty data and the effective data are assembled and supplied to the printing section.

  • Patent number: 5215062
Abstract: In a fuel control device for an internal combustion engine wherein an estimated pressure (Pi) in the engine intake manifold is calculated by digital filtering an output signal from a H/W sensor by making use of a difference equation, an air flow rate (Qc) at the engine cylinder port is estimated based upon a detected engine rotating number (N) and the calculated estimated pressure (Pi) by retrieving a value of air flow rate from a map defined by the engine rotating number (N) and the estimated pressure (Pi) in the engine intake manifold. Then, the fuel quantity (Tp) to be injected is calculated based upon a detected engine rotating number (N) and the estimated air flow rate (Qc) at the engine cylinder port. However during the engine starting period, a learned estimated pressure in the engine intake manifold is used instead of the calculated estimate pressure (Pi) in the engine intake manifold to determined the retrieved estimated air flow rate (Qc).

  • Patent number: 5157610
Abstract: A system and method for load sharing processing operations between a vehicle mounted station (105) and a stationary base station (25) having a large capacity host computer is described. The vehicle mounted station has detectors for determining operating conditions of a vehicle and controllers (3, 4, 501) for varying the operating conditions. The controllers are connected to a transmitter-receiver (5) which is arranged to communicate over a path (10) with a transmitter-receiver (11) of the base station. The base station has a host computer (18) having a large memory capacity. At predetermined intervals, for example, distance of travel or at engine stop, the vehicle transmitter (5) transmits operating conditions to the base receiver (11) for data processing and the base transmitter (11) then transmits processed data back to the vehicle receiver (5), whereupon the controllers (3, 4, 501) modify the vehicle operating conditions.

  • Patent number: 5093903
Abstract: A font converting device converts (dot density conversion) a down-line load font received through an interface device into a font represented by a dot matrix of the same size as that of a resident font stored in first memory and stores the converted down-line load font in a second memory. A control circuit selectively reads the fonts of the first memory (resident font) or the fonts of the second memory (converted down-line load font) in conformity to a font code included in print data, edits dot image data, and then provides the same to a printing unit to be controlled, namely, a printer in a narrow sense. Only the rarely used down-line load font is subjected to dot density conversion so that the print dot density of the converted down-line load font coincides with that of the print dot density of the printer to be controlled, while a frequently used font of a print dot density coinciding with that of the printer is stored as resident font.

  • Patent number: 5047792
Abstract: A camera having a standard taking lens and a macro lens which are held in a lens holder rotatable in a plane perpendicular to the photographic light path, whereby either one of standard and macro lenses can be inserted selectively into the light path. The macro lens is smaller in diameter than the standard lens so as to distinguish the lenses from each other during manufacture and assembly. When the macro lens is placed in the photographic light path, switching means turns a charge switch on, thereby to charge a main condenser for flashing. In macrophotography, upon depression of a shutter release button, flash light is automatically emitted.

  • Patent number: 4908642
Abstract: A camera which is capable of varying a photographable distance range according to photographic conditions to realize a sure photographing without losing a photographic chance under the photographic condition that can provide a practicable image. In the camera, even if a light measurement value is smaller than a first reference value Sev to allow a strobe to automatically emit light, the distance range for focusing is not limited when the light measurement value is greater than a second reference value or the lowest limit value of the image surface light amount that can provide a practicable image quality in exposure. The camera is sure to be able to photograph when the image surface light amount is available to such an degree that a practicable image quality can be obtained in the strobe automatic light emission.
