  • Patent number: 4799073
Abstract: A photographic camera with a zoom lens comprises a fixed lens barrel and a movable lens barrel which has a fixed lens group and a movable unit movably receiving a lens group. The movable unit is adapted to rotate in the movable lens barrel so as to shift axially the movable lens group with respect to the fixed lens group when the movable lens barrel is axially moved in order to shift the zoom lens between a wide-angle and a telephotographic condition. The lenses of the lens group of the movable unit are held by lens holders that are a round-ended configuration with straight sides between the rounded ends. These straight sides leave part-circular spaces in the movable unit, which is in the form of a rotatable cylinder. Rods on which these lens holders are slidably mounted are disposed in these part-circular spaces, to achieve a compact configuration.

  • Patent number: 4769667
Abstract: A camera shutter control apparatus comprises a detector for detecting the actual amount of opening of a camera shutter, comprised by a light emitter, a light detector, and a light controller for varying the amount of light passing therethrough from the light emitter to the light detector according to the detected amount of opening of the shutter. A controller controls the light emitter to emit a predetermined constant amount of light based on an output from the light detector. An operating device actuates the shutter in such a way to make the output of the light detector coincide with a signal representative of a predetermined shutter opening characteristic. The shutter is controlled to open and close following the predetermined characteristic defined by a shutter opening-closing program which is changeable according to the focal length of the camera lens.

  • Patent number: 4610522
Abstract: A mode change-over device for a mode change-over device for a pre-winding type camera in which, after a loading of a film patrone in the camera and before the shooting, a pre-winding of the film is conducted to fully pre-wind the film on a spool and, when the pre-winding is finished, a mode retaining member is unlocked so as to release a mode change-over member thereby operating a mode change-over switch for a shooting mode, such as to allow an unwinding of the film in a frame-by-frame fashion for each shooting exposure, while the mode change-over member is charged by an opening of a back lid of the camera, the mode change-over device comprising; a counter adapted to operate in response to winding and rewinding of the camera; a retaining member for locking the mode retaining member when the back lid has been opened erroneously or accidentally; and a counter engaging member which prevents the retaining member from locking the mode change-over member when the counter is in the initial position, whereas, when th

  • Patent number: 4586801
Abstract: A pre-winding type photographic camera is provided with a mode changing mechanism for changing its operational mode between a pre-winding mode in which film is drawn out from a film magazine loaded in the camera and is taken up around the spool of the camera prior to photographing, and photographing mode in which the film is rewound into the film magazine by one frame each time the film is exposed.

  • Patent number: 4505568
Abstract: A shutter mechanism for a camera comprises at least one shutter blade, an electromagnet for holding the shutter blade in a blocking position where an exposure aperture is concealed and another electromagnet for returning the shutter blade to the initial and blocking position. The holding electromagnet is energized in association with the shutter actuating operation to permit the shutter blade to move, initiating exposure. The shutter blade in the course of movement to an unblocking position is forced to be returned to the initial and blocking position by the returning electromagnet when the latter is energized and the held therein by the holding electromagnet which has been deenergized, terminating exposure.

  • Patent number: 4165932
Abstract: In a data printing device built in a camera body, the data carrying disc is located close to the bright frame in the viewfinder optical system so that the data may be viewed together with the bright frame in the viewfinder without an additional diopter correcting lens. The data carrying plate consists of a number of discs carrying different data of different diameter so that the data carrying portions of the different data carrying discs may face to the film in the camera directly, namely without any intervention between the data carrying portions and the film, whereby sharp images of the data are printed. A light intercepting plate is provided in parallel to the data carrying discs to selectively print the data.

  • Patent number: 4162835
Abstract: In a photographic camera having a built in data printing device with an optical axis of a focusing lens of the device inclined at an angle with respect to the optical axis of the taking lens of the camera. A plurality of data carrying plates carrying different indicia are positioned parallel to the surface of the film loaded in the camera and on which the data are to be printed. The sizes of the indicia carried by the different data carrying plates are of different sizes from each other so that the sizes of the images printed on the film are equal to each other.

  • Patent number: 4141635
Abstract: In a camera loaded with a 110 type film cartridge a film drive mechanism is provided with a control circuit for controlling a drive motor. In the normal film wind up operation a high voltage is applied to the motor, and after the final frame has been exposed and when the trailing part of the film is being fed, the voltage applied to the motor is lowered by use of a time constant circuit.

  • Patent number: 4089018
Abstract: A photographic camera having a focal plane shutter is provided with a data recording device for recording on the film the photographing date or the like. The data recording device consists of a data carrier carrying thereon data representing characters which is operable from outside of the camera to select the data to be recorded, a light source for illuminating the data carrier, and an optical system for projecting an image of the data representing characters onto the film. The optical system includes a light reflecting prism which reflects the light from the data carrier toward the film. The prism is inserted into the optical path of the objective of the camera between the focal plane shutter and the film only when the data recording device is operated. With this arrangement, the data can be recorded while the shutter is closed, and accordingly, the quality of the image of the data recorded is not affected by the shutter speed.

  • Patent number: 4072966
Abstract: A photographic camera having a built-in generator connected with an electric shutter control circuit in which the generator is rotated by an operating member to produce electricity to be supplied to said electric shutter control circuit in response to a shutter release operation. A switch is interposed between the generator and the exposure control circuit, and the switch is not closed until the operating member is moved by a predetermined distance to rotate the generator for a time longer than the rising time of the output current of the generator so that only a stable current is supplied to the exposure control circuit from the generator.

  • Patent number: 3965612
Abstract: A driving mechanism for a travelling toy automatically runs backwardly when its forward movement is hindered by an obstacle. The driving mechanism includes a rotatable sun gear which selectively drives a wheel shaft through either a first or second oppositely facing crown gears secured to the wheel shaft. A pivotal arm carrying an intermediate planetary gear effects drive through the sun gear and planetary gear to a selective crown gear in dependence on the position of the arm. The arm position is controlled by engageable steps and control dogs.
